- The Longest Day Cocktail was created by Kathryn "Pepper" Shasek from the Attaby cocktail bar. This is a frothy, citrusy, low ABV cocktail. It tastes of gin and Campari, but the they not overpowering. There is a smooth mouthfeel with orange notes. Try it out, and let me know what you think.

LONGEST DAY
1.5 oz/45 ml Gin
.75 oz/22.5 ml Campari
.75 oz/22.5 ml Lemon Juice
.5 oz/15 ml Simple Syrup
2 Orange Slices (Sub'd 4 Mangarin Slices)
1 Egg White
Top with Soda Water
Method
1. Add all the ingredients except thesoda water into the shaker tin.
2. Shake with 3 1 inch cudes for 8=10 seconds.
3. Fine strain into pint glass over fresh ice.
4. Top with soda water.

Hi Eric, this works really well.
Usually when you use egg whites, you dry shake (no ice) first to allow the egg white to emulsify. Then you add ice and shake again to chill it down.
I agree, but he seemed to get the desired effect anyway :)
You would think you would follow that process, but this one works for sure.
I couldn't find anything else online about this cocktail, was interested in learning how it came about. Made it this morning, was very tasty!

Oh this looks good, and funny enough I just made The Whiskey Nerd's strawberry whiskey sour, which had egg white, yeah I can feel my shaker glass really wanted to come off despite slamming the tin on with the strength of 1000 slam dunks 😂😆
