    Ive been a Bulls fan 30 years they are the masters in asset mismanagement. It's unfair to place all the blame on Zach. The Bulls failed to put him in position to succeed in favor of going through DeRozan down the stretch of games. He carried the team when they had rosters full of guys who are under 30 and out of the NBA already. With that being said giving a Klutch sports client a max deal comes with shenanigans this was predictable. They are in the business of trying to get their clients to L.A. as long as LeBron is playing.

      @MomoGonzalez-jp7sk Před 14 dny +13

      Partly true, but in reality, he's not a player to build a contender around. The front office made the mistake of signing players like him (scores that require the ball in their hands and didn't play good defense) to complement him. Zack never evolved to becoming a more complete player, either.
      There's a reason, besides injuries and the big contact, that other teams are hesitant to trade for a 25 ppg player. Contenders didn't want him and he doesn't want to be traded to bad teams. That's makes it tough for both sides.

      To be fair to Zach, he was signed to a max deal but the team was not built around the max player. Zo and Caruso were perfect because they both play defense and Zo is a transitional passer who helped Zach get easy baskets in the open floor. But how can you have 2 players, like Zach and Derozan, who are similar in style, but can't defend. Add a center in Vuc who can't defend. That spells a disaster. If it wasn't for Caruso and Zo, it would have looked even worse. Derozan pretty much stole Zach's role although Zach was given the max. What was the logic in doing that? If you believed in Zach to give him a max, why would you then put him in the background as a #2? It wasn't done when he was putting up 50 to push the Bulls, which is why he got the max. So the team should have been constructed around him.
      You now have young athletic players. Patrick should have been given a bigger role but because of the structure he too was pushed in the background. I even believe the current team is better for him and Zach. Zach can now be the lead on a team with role players and you have Giddey and Zo as passers. You can never have enough ball movers on a team. If Zo comes back defensively, he can fill Caruso's role and also be the 3 point specialist. But I don't think the Bulls want any success, tanking to keep that Spurs pick is the goal instead of winning. Why tank when you may have the formula? Try it and see. It may surprise you.

  • @BallGuy-pm8pz
    @BallGuy-pm8pz Před 12 dny

    Zach planned to get paid and leave Chicago. Every single off court decision he's made since going into the '20-'21 season indicates this. His relationship with the Bulls has always been something of a house of cards. This goes way back to when he signed his initial 80m dollar contract all those years ago. Of course he's always said the right thing and been a professional. But the house of cards began to crumble when his plan to leave...which we'll just call for personal and business reasons...didn't work out as intended. This is the result. And if the Bulls weren't silly for re-signing him to his most recent contract....they would have lost him for nothing otherwise....they were stupid for not trading him the season before last when his value was at an all time high. They could have cleared him and the contract off the books and walked away with a couple players and better yet, a few picks. They did nothing. Management...good management...could see this coming a mile away. From the time they signed him they should have seriously considered trading him. And not for perceived "equal talent." Role players, picks, done. Oh...but this is Bulls management? Nevermind😅😭😅
