lmp3 was made for armature bronze rated drivers, so mostly paid seats. that joking was only afforded by dentists or lawyers. there have been a few silly incidents with lmp3 cars. and those incidents have been called Dentist incidents.

I’m also part of the middle-age sim racer club, Dave. I have to admit that I try to keep up with some of the trends and slang that is current. I’ve been in the dark about the “dentist” meme. I have learned something new today. 🤷🏻
was happy to be in that race (Brice Simeon), trying to race you and my friends (the 2 firsts) was funny, this combo is sooOoooooo good XD just to let you know, at 9:24 I didn't had a slowdown, I simply let you both by (you were quicker)
I blew on my screen mutiple times because i thought the cable tie on the roll cage of the car was a hair on my screen 😂😂

Best new car on the service for ages. Only hassle for single screen players is the insane a-pillar. So I have had to move the camera a long way forward and slightly left in order to make it driveable.
Have you tried the new graphics settings on hiding pillars? Must destroy your pov when you move the camera?
@@okkimakki the new setting only hides features on a specific and small set of cars. Not the LMP3.
As for moving the driving/camera position a little to the left. It works well for me as I always drive with hidden wheel so don't notice that the camera position is slightly out of place.

I don't think it was a divebomb, I think the rear snapped on changing down as the LMP3 is very prone to do.
The Liger is the best car on the service, out the box, in a long time! The fixed set is a bit poo though and to too safe. I easy to tune with minimal basic adjustments. I kept driving the Liger over the other new content. It's FUN.
I could make a comment about Dentists as I went there this morning.
I don't think she drives and LMP3 though.

What would you recommend as the best rookie/D series this season? I was really enjoying the Formula Fords last season, and I'm not sure what series to commit to now that MX-CUP is the only series open to me.
(I just got into iRacing, but have been sim racing on other titles for about a year)

I haven't bought the new cars but I did buy the tracks. I always sucked at Willow Springs in Gran Turismo and have only had a quick look here in iRacing. Aragon though absolutely sucks and is one of only 2 purchases I regret making. Have tried a couple of cars on it, Radical SR8, Ferrari EVO GT3 and Formula Vee and I just don't like the track one bit and will never race on it except to run some AI only races on it (Ai but me not driving)

The Dentist joke comes from the fact this customer based AM formula encourages Dentists, Doctors, and Lawyers who can afford it to go racing. The only problem with that is, not all of them are fast or know how to safely drive a racecar because of their Dental backgrounds 😂😂😂
The stereotype is that primarily people w/ lots of money (eg dentists) race LMP3, instead of racing talent.
Although it's such an expensive sport, I would say that is generally true of almost all racing.

@@jassonco the assumption is anyone of higher income eg doctors (incl dentists), lawyers, business executives, etc race LMP3, it's just generalized to dentists (I think that many people really don't like going to the dentist is a factor for that slight insult).
Personally I don't know anyone who could afford to race even at the least expensive stages (willing to commit ~$5+k/ yr for a hobby) w/o making big sacrifices & significantly restructuring their life (buying a car/kart, trailer, truck & place to store them).
@@lewisgordon1490 I get it. I know real race drivers, every so often I paint one of their cars and they're broke AF but, this is what they love to do.
Max Verstapen, Lewis Hamilton, or Valentino Rossi, even w/ their high talent level probably wouldn't have been able to make a career in racing, unless they had parents who were willing to commit $15-20k /yr all all in for ~ a decade until they got a full ride (karts, repairs, maintenance gear, travel expenses, sacrifices to get the right connections, etc).
I know of several people who were fast enough to have made a career as a race driver but didn't have the $ or connections to make it happen.
Why they didn't include the P217 in this race is beyond me.
I think they try to keep it 3 or less different speed cars...idk though, p217 is the slowest of the bunch
@@jeremysumpter8939 LMDh>LMP2>LMP3. There are two LMDh and an LMP3 in that competition, I just thought it would have made since to include all active prototypes.
@@danielBarnweezy interesting, because the cadi>bmw>ligier and the speed difference is pretty substantial.
@@jeremysumpter8939 The speed difference isn't substantial.... The BMW and Cadi are both LMDH cars so they are basically like comparting 2 different Gt3 Cars, they are for all intensive purposes the same speed.
@@jw9691 at a track like Daytona it is, cadi was over a second quicker a lap, at watkins itll probably even out
