This song is a cry for help almost and no one could hear Papa Roach screaming for help all these years! We were all dancing and bobbing our heads to it rocking out completely drowning out the message of what he was saying! I knew every word to this song and Im only today hearing what was said! Heard a lot of people compare the original to angry teenager/young adult (which was amazing and perfect for the time) and this is the older/mature version. It's brilliant. I've teared up more than a few times listening.
His vocal range is a gift, and then he just gives us raw emotion, pulling us into his pain. It makes me think of Chester Bennington's vocal abilites. RIP đ

Papa Roach was angst. Falling In Reverse is desperation. I legit sobbed watching this. I was 17 when the original was released & knew what the lyrics were. At 41, when this version was released, the lyrics hit me in a different way. Just beautiful. Glad he got permission from Jacoby to do this.
I feel like this is something Ronnie is really good at. Take his Reimagined & Revamped songs. They were originally fun, upbeat, almost playful sounding in the original versions. He took those lyrics & matured the tone, making you really feel the lyrics that you might not have realized weâre talking about much darker subjects. His genius is astounding.

Gonna be totally honest, hadn't really listened to FIR until I watched Ronnie play this for Jacoby.
I've recently started listening to metal and rap rock, thanks to listening to Hollywood Undead. They lead me to listening to the Hollywood Undead station on Pr!me Mu$ic. From there I just started to love these different genres. My first concert was Hollywood Undead. The second was Papa Roach with Hollywood Undead and Falling in Reverse. I wasn't a huge fan of FIR at that point, but still enjoyed the concert.
However, this rendition made me completely fall down the rabbit hole of FIR. I was completely enthralled by his voice and needed more. And the rest is history, as you fell down the same rabbit hole I did.
When the buildings were going back up, they were "Falling In Reverse".

You should check out the video where Ronnke plays the un-mixed song for Jacoby Shaddix's approval. All the haters that said Ronnie butchered the song need to be quiet. Ronnie had approval from Jacoby, just like when he did Gangsta's Paradise.
