I apologize for the wind, it was really bad today. Otherwise, this was pretty cool. You don't hear these do fast wail very much. I wonder why St. Clair county has such a thing for fast wail.
It also seemed like it had a little trouble starting up at first. You can see the rotors slowly spinning at the beginning of the video before it fully activated.
-Packatonic - Krátké a kreslené filmy
So glad to see you are filming all of the old sirens in St. Clair County before they get replaced. Keep up the great work!
Agreed!!!! Keep it up!
Thank you! Hopefully I can film majority of the cool stuff before it's all gone.
@@Packatonic Anytime! Yes, I hope you are able to as well.
The Electric Speaker Sirens that St. Clair County has in O’Fallon, Illinois don’t sound as loud as the old school mechanical sirens unfortunately.
In the beginning of the video, this 3T22 has the newer FS (Federal Signal) logo on the top, judging it was manufactured and installed in the late 1970's. It sounds awesome with the fast wail/attack signal!
Every time it jiggles, it looks uncanny
As of June 15th 2024 this siren is still here…the rest have have been replaced.
Thanks for letting me know, I'm sure this one is next real soon.
@@Packatonic no problem!, The Vortex in Summerfield was also replaced
@@AmericanSirenProductions Thanks! I've been trying to keep track of what's gone and what's still here. To my knowledge as of now, all of Fairview Heights, Swansea, Shiloh, Caseyville, East St. Louis, and Cahokia are done, All of Belleville excluding the downtown Vortex we're replaced, most if not all of O'Fallon is done, and I've tracked down a bunch of new locations throughout the western side of the county. Haven't been to the southern parts of the county in while unfortunately, I know New Athens is gone though.
I really want to record one of these or a 2t22 someday
