After seeing this at a few different shows for the last two years, we've finally have an MWM Phase setup in the DJbooth Lab for a full review! This is just the unboxing video, so we'll have a full review video coming in the next week or so. Subscribe and Stay Tuned for more Phase coverage!
Phase is the first wireless DJ controller that lets you control tracks playing from a DJ software without needing turntable needles or timecode control vinyl. Two Remotes capture the turntable rotation data and wirelessly transmit it to a Receiver that processes and sends it to your DVS setup.

No worries! I was trying to get this for a while, but MWM just got this out to me now. The latest update is probably their best one yet, so I can only talk about it from the standpoint of me having it after this update. The review is coming in about two weeks! Stay tuned.

Can you please do a test with Traktor if you have an opportunity? Phase obviously has much better communication and integration with Serato (even the HID is coming), but I would really love to hear what you think about Phase + Traktor Pro 3 combination. I'm thinking about buying Phase, so I would like to know if they have resolved some of the problems they had earlier with TP3 with the latest updates, and if the overall experience is good with Traktor. Looking forward to the full review. Best regards!

From what I could read on forums and support posts (and I haven't tried the device yet so keep that in mind), the main problem for everybody is "cue drift", so that should probably be the biggest focus for me because of beat juggling. Also the REAL stats of battery life is what interests me (how long does it really hold up against their claim of 5 hours of playing). I read that when the battery drops to like 15% of battery, it causes some glitches in playback. Some of other things to maybe focus on:
- "accelerometer calibration" that shows BPM +1% for example when tempo is at 0 position on turntables
- "calibration failed" in deck header warnings. I know you can turn those warnings off, just wondering if it's still present after this latest firmware update
And at the end, if you can and want to tell, your honest opinion if it was better experience for you to use it with Traktor or Serato (or any of other major software), and the differences on why it's better with one software than the other (maybe some of the issues are not present in every software). I'm personally a Traktor user, but it's sad they are not working as much as Serato to integrate Phase with Traktor on some better level. I think that HID support for Serato will be awesome, would really see them cook up something like that with Traktor too.

I will definitely give you an honest opinion and let you know about the BPM, battery life, and cue drift issues that I may encounter. I'll also let you know how this works in Traktor and Serato as well and contrast them both. Thanks again for your comment and stay tuned!

are these a different model than the first batch released?
I just received word from MWM that these are exactly the same model as all releases. The only change on these is the firmware edition. All hardware is the same since day one!

Thanks for the comment. I had to try them out. So far I am liking them for party rocking, but going to see how they work when pushed a bit further in the scratching department...

LOL, older than you think! Get the Reloop RP-7000... That's my favorite turntable to purchase right now. There are cheaper options though that are good too...
