Hi Kris, no joking, I'm an older white woman and I'm not sure how to go about starting dreads for myself. I've been growing my hair out but it is not gloriously thick like other folks.i think i may need to supplement my hair with artificial dreads. I've loved dreads for a long as i can remember, but being white, I've had no exposure to dread culture until the internet and CZcams. I'm at an age where i don't have to care what anyone else thinks about my hair. I want to decorate it and love the declaration of my life on my own terms. Thank you Kris for being so amazing!
Hey Fair Witness, Kris has done locs on people with straighter textures. Back combing (what they used to do in the 80's. Also known as teasing the hair) is usually how a more knotted texture is achieved. Look through his videos and you'll find something
As of 2023 whoopi's dreads are hard as hell 💪🏿 I say the date because I just randomly came across a video of her on the view the other day and I don't remember them looking like that.
