I think this is just incredible! I love her aged face. She's lived a life full of happiness, sorrow, maybe intense sorrow, pain and joy...she's seen much, maybe things she'd like to forget. Her life has probably been hard, but you can also tell that she's had joy and shared that joy (and sorrow) with someone she loved. Yes, this lady has earned each and every wrinkle on that sweet, adorable face. The younger face was her just starting her life. She was full of the hopes and dreams of a any young woman whose innocence hasn't caused any wrinkles yet. Yes, this was beautifully done, as if she was thinking back to the beginning of her path in life.

I am sure the lady in this picture has been exposed to at least 100+ years of sun, wind and other elements, which age the skin by darkening it... where as am sure your nana and yourself have been using sunscreen since you were children.... it's all about how life happened... her age and the way her skin was exposed tells a story, that she lived a very hard, long life

I think that yeah, the photoshopper was changing her looks, but he kept most of the facial structure and shape minus the skin sag. I would imagine she would of looked something similar to that. The title may be mean but it isn't entirely untrue. The end photo is "beautiful" in today's standards of people you would date.

I feel like it was only for show, like, "look at my crazy anti wrinkle skillz biatch!" and then: paint over the whole face and render every action before useless.
It just wouldnt have looked as "professional" as it did , if the artist had just cut out the whole face and drawn on the new skin, just like he did at the end in the video....

I've met those kinds of old ladies as well, most often just to make small talk, joke around, or harmlessly tease "Is that your girlfriend over there? You know if I was 50 years younger, I could have given her a run for her money!" to which we all laugh and being jovial.

:| Ok, so, I'm a graphic designer, and I'll assume this wasn't meant as a "beauty ideal" thing and more as practicing removing wrinkles with photoshop. So, I get that. But my advice would definitely be to make sure you remember to keep *certain* wrinkles or it starts looking too fake. Skin has some wrinkles, no matter how old you are. Also, the nose has become very flat, and i think it's because you also didn't use all the values and tones of the skin to give it depth. If this was real, this person would look like they recently had a facelift and their skin was too tight. Overall recommendation: right now it does look like a flat painting. I think some more shadows and highlights (like on the cheeks, lips, and bridge of the nose) would give her face a more youthful, rounded look while not looking so dull. (Also for the lips, remember to use the tiny vertical highlights as opposed to any horizontal ones.)

All that work and it still looks like you ran it through MS Paint lol. And the title is insulting. "YOUNG and BEAUTIFUL again!" Real beauty comes with wisdom, and I think that's what we seek. Otherwise, why idealize youthful beauty? We're all stupid when we have it! We make stupid choices, then 10 or 20 years down the road you think to yourself "wow, I was such an idiot, youth really is wasted on the young!" All we look at as we age is the outside. But isn't it funny how we'll always be young in our minds? There's no magic "adult" switch. For years I thought it would hit me. When will I feel like an adult? Probably never. I'm 29 and still waiting. But much as I'd love to be less hairy and not to notice the vague lines slowly beginning to form on my face, I take consolation that I'll always feel young in my head and always enjoy the same things I've always enjoyed. I'll still be writing stories, eating pizza, watching Looney Tunes, obsessing over the most addicting TV shows, and making electronic music when I'm 90 years old. DGAF lol.
This is about the outer beauty, and not about all this "wise" and psychological BS that you're saying. Physically she is not beautiful and if you say that she is beautiful on the outside you are a liar because I bet that you wouldn't want to LOOK like her.

Your probably one of of those people who only pay attention to those of people with looks then looking at the moral of inner beauty. So what if she has wrinkles and such one her face, it does not make her "ugly" as you would describe her. People have different tastes and preferences in beauty, how can you exececute such a statement with such ignorance on what you only prefer in "beauty" as people see different on what pure beauty is. Respect other people's perception on beauty, not only your preference in "beauty" exists.

Why the hell would you take apart this woman and paint her as something she's not? Those imperfections made her beautiful, and your finished product made her look like she wasn't even a real human being photographed.

You ask "Why be so serious?" In general women are more serious about this because it poses significant social and psychological issues within our culture. The underlying message of the video and how common these videos are becoming is disturbing for many people. Culturally society measures beauty almost wholly by geometric proportions of our faces and bodies and not the intangible qualities such as the contributions a person has made or the kindness of one's character, etc. It signifies an extremely unhealthy mentality that is pervasive in our society. Seeing girls women starve themselves, have surgeries, etc. says volumes why we should consider what these videos represent and cultivate a new standard of beauty.

You photoshop surgeon erased this woman's life, her history, the fact that she may have been working too hard to worry about her eye brows. You erase culture, time, space and create a blank canvas and an empty story. And I am sickened by the disdain shown for the scope and depth and breadth of humanity.

HT Tema I am calm. I feel no need for him to show us what he can do. That is not necessarily her younger self if that is what point is - it is her old face de-aged. I find no need for this capability and the caption suggests youth and beauty (well it actually says that). The problem with this technology is that women and men for that matter are becoming confused about a real life healthy 40 year old face, a real life healthy 50 year old face, a real life 100 year old face. I think it's insulting, inaccurate, and psychologically unhealthy as well.

Appreciate the skill behind the work and can see its applications, but completely agree with missmagnoliabird that it is not making her beautiful again. The name of this video really upsets me as I bet this women would be one of the most fascinating people to talk to and would be able to share so much history.
