Capt Andy, thanks for documenting the process of clearing the Golden Ray wreck. I used to spend a lot of time on St. Simons. I hope this wreck has not damaged the environment of the sound. I have to catch up with all of your vids. Great work.,

Glad to see the cut done, hate all the oil. But if consider there was something in the neighborhood of 15,000 gallons of oil in the vehicles they have done a pretty good job of containment.

@@MinorcanMullet the two and twenty was just a seed for thought. You have covered this since the beginning. It would be really cool to take all the information you have recorded and make it into a documentary but only if that is something you would be interested in doing. I can't imagine how long it would take to cut splice and edit that much data or if you would even be interested in doing something like that. I have being following your updates forever it seems and have dearly enjoyed it. It has been a long and frustrating process but it is not unique to our state. It has happened many times all over the world. The impacts from something like this last for years I'm sure. It is something I would enjoy seeing and I'm sure many others would also. Following the weekly updates is one thing but seeing a documentary that ties it all together is something totally different. No one covered this like you did. My hats off to you bro. Thank you so much for your dedication. Going out in all kinds of weather to bring us these updates. Enjoy your time off and enjoy your vacation. Wish I was going with ya. Would love a day on the MM.

Some fantastic and really interesting shots there. Some decks appear undamaged by fire, and some parts still look relatively "as good as new" as far as the paint finish goes, albeit from a very long way off! Stay safe and many thanks for your efforts

Your image at about 0:53 clearly gives an idea of how many cars are still inside (remembering the grapple would not have been able to reach this far back).
It look like a vehicle has been cut on what is now the top of 4th deck, and perhaps several vehicles at the bottom of 1st deck.
Thank you for your report today, and now you can relax on your vacation. I am sure the Golden Ray, or what's left of it will still be there when you return.
