The whole band sounds amazing! I have seen several videos from this tour thus far (Tacoma, Eugene, and Sacramento) and the guys sound friggin incredible. Yeah, I know, it's TOOL and they always sound awesome. But to not have been out on the road in two years and come out sounding this good, means they are only going to sound better the more the tour goes on. I have heard a couple of songs where their timing was off for a couple of notes, but that happens to everyone. I am hoping that this is no the last we will hear from them. I wonder if they are planning on releasing another album, or EP even, anytime soon.

Of the set, this seems to be the hardest. All the note changes and in a high register for him (even in Drop C), but of the career (accounting for blend of screaming and cleans and accounting for his change in vocality [yes I have way too much time on my hands], I think Jimmy, Pushit (Salival) and Bottom are likely top 3. Maybe Hooker if he sung it in it's original octave.

At least he still screams on occasion live, shame he didnt do it in the new album. For me it was the combination of the mystique, absurd, intensity of the instruments, sounds, artwork and at last the screams of Maynard. Every member giving it all they got. For exemple the whole of Undertow. Jerkoff, Cold & ugly, Part of me, Hush of Opiate. Ticks & leeches and The grudge of Lateralus. Most songs of Ænema. And some parts of and 10 000 days. Tool has lost a lot of its intensity, losing the screams. But they are what they are. Good on them for still doing (hopefully) what they themselves want and can with their art.

As someone who was in the upper deck center stage, the screen made the light passing through refract and appear as if the musicians were playing from another realm. Everyone in our group agreed the translucent curtain was a beautiful, otherworldly effect. It's used to refract light early in the show, then lifted at the point of the performance when the lights begin shining outward and engulfing the audience.
A Tool show from the very back row is very satisfying and I'd argue that with its full view of every effect in the stadium, its among the best seats in the house.

In new orleans on Feb 5th they kicked about 12 people out for filming but at the end Maynard said "yall been pretty good, go ahead and record invincible if u want...but good luck getting good audio."

TOOL - A EXPERIENCE WHERE THE COPS ARE THE GOOD GUYS AND THE BAND ARE TOOLS (in the bad sense)
Saw TOOL, and it was not that great a concert. Maynard is the same voice in every song - droning pathetically on and on … the beats are monotonous, the drums and bass of no special importance - like a child learning the drums and just banging on them till you yell “give it a rest junior”. The guitar - any guitarist could replicate, with little effort.
TOOL is a head band where if you’re stoned out of your mind or on LSD, you might enjoy it - but then isn’t any music enhanced by being high?
I suggest if you want to really see a mind blowing genius of an act - see NIN this year (2022) Trent Reznor is truly a showman and a marvel to watch. Each tour is a different experience- TOOL is a rehashed circle of noise that doesn’t change from one album to another.
The most disturbing factor to the TOOL concert was watching people removed for simply pulling their phones out of their pockets! No shit! TOOL has a strict rule of no picture or video taking. This is fine, as we see this at almost every event for every artist today - but to be thrown out of a concert. I saw at least 100 individuals escorted out, and as I watched more closely - these people weren’t taking pictures - so the rule is don’t even touch or look at your phone at a TOOL concert. Even more strange is the cops hate it. I talked to people removed and they stated the police said they hate this band and it’s the bands policy to throw out, not the police. Wait, the police are the good guys? 😊
Throw out your fans? Comically, the new tour (2022) was filmed in full in Miami - you can watch it on you tube, with dozens more videos posted across their tour. Guess they don’t catch everyone.
    Here is my take:
It’s clear why TOOL has the policy they have - they are not that good, and they need to suppress social media on themselves because once you see it, it’s over and they don’t want an official record of any tour because it’s the same basic show tour to tour - with different lights flashing on them.
I cannot support a band that treats their fans this way - especially a mediocre band trying to pretend they are gods. TOOL will have no lasting legacy in history like a Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, or Black Sabbath.

Fantastic job at respecting the artists' wish of no photography or videorecording. You must have been high. Some Tool fans are always the absolute worst and most worthy of a smack.

@@paulveenings6861 I was just in NT this past summer. A product of American public housing and welfare travelling to Australia and staying there for a month. Keep the faith. Maynard appears to having fun. Danny is always having fun.
I follow this other American band. They allowed fans to join their sound check. No cost. Their rep asked that no phones be out; no recording, no pictures. I went to the first one -- since I follow them and am at nearly every show they do on Earth -- and of course they discontinued them. Fans pulled out their phones, at the first one, right in front of them. We aren't in a a sea of ten thousands. They can see us! Respect the artists wishes or risk messing it up for everyone.

Ok, I've loved and seen Tool since the mid 90's. Many times and in multiple states. This fucking sucks. The band is fine but Maynard is shot. The song holds no weight in this down tuned state. Time to hang it up.
