They gave up Jrue…so they are done. Dame is overrated. He is truly one-dimensional in a one-dimensional fashion. Jrue scored at a decent clip AND played tremendous Defense. The NBA thinks offense is everything and the Bucks are going to show that it is not the case.

Lillard is totally useless on the defensive end, that's why Holiday was such a weapon, a guard that can play both ends at an elite level. Holiday has now ended up on the Bucks rival the Celtics, and the Celtics have Derrick White and Jrue Holiday two of the best defensive guards in the league. Bostons defense is far more superior than Milwaukee's, and Boston also has ridiculous offensive firepower just as good if not better than the Bucks, their starting 5 alone averages 100PPG.

I think his responsibilities on offense may affect his motor on defense. CP was a floor general but he wasn’t required to score 25-30 ppg, even Stockton who was also a good defender, wasn’t the primary scorer on his team

He is not a goat. He only has one move and that is his 3 step to the basket and dunk, charging over anyone who gets in the way. He has no low post moves and he cannot shoot outside very well. I said from the jump that they would need to make some moves at the deadline. Lillard is great, but they need some more pieces to fine tune that roster before the playoffs. I would still make that trade 10/10 times.

The thing about the Pacers is, they also have bad defense, but they don't care. They'll let you score on them, they'll just score *more* and *faster* than you. They are playing the game the way the officiating has allowed them to: if you officiate defense out of the game, the team that scores the fastest and with greatest efficiency wins the game. Pacers only lose when they miss more open shots than average.

Pat needs to go. He is on this team to shoot and he hasn't been shooting well at all. Packaging him and another bench player (maybe Cam Payne) for a defensive wing would be a good move. Also don't forget Jae Crowder, one of their better defenders, has been out and will be returning soon
I hope you’re right but watching Jae before he got hurt - those cats in their 20’s were blowing by him left & right- not sure he’s the elite defender he was earlier - it’s gotta be about a better scheme & flat out desire.
@@richieboy6825 yeah I agree it’s a multi faceted issue. The whole team looks lazy on defense half the time and Adrian Griffin hasn’t done the best job with defensive schemes. Hopefully it all comes with time
@@danielron2110It‘s also the rotations of Griffin. He used to experiment and fish stuff from the bench with AJ Green, AJJ and Beauchamp way more those games that Beasley was sick. I still do not see why a one-way glass cannon 3pt shooter is put next to Dame Lillard to complete the backcourt. At least try some stuff out with the younger guys. Also I feel like Bobby Portis and generally the rebounders of Milwaukee are being misutilised heavily this year.

When the difficulty of their schedule picks up and when they reach the playoffs, they're going to be an early exit with this type of performance
The Bucks have had one of the most cake schedules so far. They've played only 1 western conference playoff team and it is the worst in one in Dallas.

Losing Jrue Holiday was always gonna have a massive impact on the Bucks. As good as Dame is he doesn't play on the other side of the ball and his record in 4th quarters during the post season isn't anything to rave about.
as a Celtics fan I am so happy to have Jrue in Boston.

People like you can’t be helped. You don’t actually watch the games. The only team that can beat the Sixers in the East is the Celtics. Everyone else will lose in a 7 game series. Pacers/Miami admittedly would be live for an upset. If you WATCH the games, there is no reality where the Bucks win 7 games against the Sixers unless extenuating circumstances happen.

Not for nothing, it is becoming more clear that Bucks winning the title really was because Kyrie got hurt during that series and Bucks capitalized (although it took them 7 games) JUST LIKE the VERY next year when Middleton was hurt, Boston beat Milwaukee (although that took 7 games as well) and made it to the Finals
Outside of those favorable situations, neither Boston or Milwaukee has made it to the Finals in the last 5 years
Miami has made it to 3 Conference Finals & 2 NBA Finals (WITH key injuries) during those runs

Instead of trading Kris Middleton for lillard the bucks traded holiday. Getting lillard they were getting offense, closer but weak defense. To compensate that Holiday should have been retained and trade middleton who anyways is not available consistently to play. Holiday would have helped Bucks defensively.

Middleton had less value than Holiday, Blazers would not have wanted him. Dame and Jrue are both PGs so it made more sense that way, and Khris couldn’t be traded anyway cos he just signed a new contract. Hope that helps

The bucks are a team that do well in the regular season but they have not been able to bring that over to the post season. Can someone explain to me why Pacers and Bucks played 5 games, shouldn't they only allow to play 4 games in a season. I know the IST thing but it accounts for regular game as well expect the final.
IST games count as regular season games but whoever you play depends on who wins. So Bucks would have played Pacers 4 times but they both got to the semis of IST so they had to play 5
