Well shot, good story telling, epic boat and totally bonkers. I absolutely love this.
Thank you, glad you like it:)
I enjoyed the video! I also have Lombard Zero (#675) which I sail in Newfoundland. The Zero is a great boat and I am glad to see there are some still racing!
Thank you:) I find it quite interesting that some Zero's made it over the pond when they were still being built. I guess that the initial design idea from Marc Lombard made it happen: detachable keel & deck stepped mast (hence shorter) make it easier to container ship this boat compared to other Minis. You're probably the only Mini in the area:) I would say that Newfoundland is not the usual playground for the Classe. Nice area however, I have been to CFG Goose Bay in the early 90's .
There are at least two other Zeros in North America. One was owned by a fellow in California. If you want to see it, look on the internet for a boat called Daisy Cutter sailing in a race called the Mini Transpac. I don't know who currently owns the other boat but it was owned by Diane Reid who was the first Canadian woman to sail in the Mini Transat. I think she bougth from Craig Horsfield who raced it in the Mini Transat.
And there is another Zero in the US -- Lake Michigan area, #680
Excellent
