06 - The Perfect Man ﷺ : On the Perfect Care He ﷺ Took of His Blessed Appearance

This series of lessons is based on the first section of Sayyid Muhammad bin Alawi Al-Maliki's seminal work, The Perfect Man ﷺ (Al-Insan Al-Kamil). The Prophet ﷺ was the pinnacle of human perfection; any praiseworthy attribute you find in anyone, you will find the Prophet ﷺ exceeding that person in that attribute because the manifestation of praiseworthy attributes were perfected in him ﷺ. However, when we speak of the Shamail of the Prophet ﷺ, we’re not just speaking of his attributes (sifat) but also his physique (dhat ); that there is something special about his physique and the companions understood it.
