- What to do after BDS?This is my perspective!! Everyone is different their situation is different.I totally agree but majority fall unto this category. I wish thinking about dentistry should change. People opting dental as job oriented course should change. Hope you agree with me buddies!! Stay safe.

Idk why but too often its always a surgeon remaining calm and giving such kind of advice. 😂
Humble, down to earth, calm and composed. Idk if the surgic environment teaches them to be that way.
I love surgery, i want to pursue it too but dont understand the pathway after example fcps or mds in omfs as a female surgeon. Also my hand shakes due to general anxiety.
I just love studying. Whatever subject it may be. Hence it's difficult to choose. (Endo is the only thing i didnt find my interest in orbbly bcuz of the specific dept).
I love teaching, research, clincs. All of it. But i suppose prostho should be where i shine. And then maybe further that into either max fax prosthetics or geriatrics.

Inspirational. I’m not a person who usually comment on CZcams videos . Bt this is seriously my passion sir..I use to be an NRI and i fell in love with dentistry when i was a 9th grader . So now am doing my 2nd year bds in india bt deep inside i have this passion for dentistry which is often put down by ppl around me who chose dentistry because they didnt get mbbs ..thankyou so much for motivating and bringing back my focus into what i should do

Thankyou so much sir, this video had helped me alot to inspire myself again, i am an intern and had already decided to be an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, since the 1st time i have touched the surgical instruments, i am very much passionate about surgery and good at surgery clinicals till now, and for that have started my prepration too, but now a days due to the demotivational words( surgery nahi ho payega, it needs a lot of score, it will be the waste of time and peace only....) of some always negative people around' me....was got very much depressed, could not even focus on my studies

You can go for semi govt ,it will charge uh btw 2-3 lac per year including everything........i am expecting 410 marks this time and will surely get semi govt in Punjab .... Guru Nanak dental college
Yup sir... thank you so much...for your boosting....I seen soo many craniotomy cases,frontal and parietal bone sections for excision of cerebral carcinomas and who do's Nasal bone reduction..,sialiathosis surgical prophylaxis.., who cures inferior oblique Muscle hernias in the case of orbital floor fracture.,maxillary reduction.., mandibular reduction..,intermaxillary fixation...,who gives rehabilitation for cleft patient's with either surgical agenda or Non-surgical therapy (acrylic prosthetics).., who gives formulating plan for maxillofacial prosthetics...,who Do's plastic and cosmetic surgeries and atlast finally who Extracts teeth....is a Dentist...there is a hidden (otorhinolaryngologist)😉 except ("ooto") we can handle( rhino) and(laryngo )problems 😅...there is a hidden trauma surgeon...and we are the part of Emergency Unit...and I don't think we are second grade because a General medicine who earns on 10 patients...,as that same amount,a Dentist can earn on a single patient.if a Dentist can succeeded in a market, then that dentist can Rules luxurious Life...(I dislike those all luxuries,But I just given an Example on Earning)...,thank you sir ..,for ur Encouragement🙏🙏

Hello Swati, I suggest you to give a nice attempt for PG. Hospital management can wait. Regret of not giving Will be more. Finally regarding clinical skills, just don't worry about it, corona lock down is for everyone. No one can develope good skills just in internship so don't get confused. Give one good attempt for PG then try anything else.

I am really bad at balancing my work in between cons and prostho...If I do one subject good and I fail at other..but am trying to do my best at both....And I feel I am good at cons than prostho ...What all should develop to become an omfs sir? Thanks Sreeja for the msg. So you have artistic skills, nurture them. Skills should not stop at carving, try everything unique. Play with all the dental materials. I have a great news for you, cons and prostho both are hectic departments lot of work to be done. So no one actually knows how to manage both. Just walk through the years you will know by yourself. Just focus on what you are doing than thinking about other dept.
Surgery is shear passion. If you want to become surgeon, develop this quality in you ---- read read and read. Knowledge is the greatest asset for a surgeon. See you soon as a great surgeon soon. All the best.

Yes, they help a lot if you practice on a regular basis till you master the skill... just joining, listening and reading won't help you have to start doing it whatever you learn from a course.

Hi Sir I just completed my BDS from himachal pradesh and this year I'm planning to prepare for neet and work at clinic to learn RCT for 6 months in New Delhi at the same time. Due to covid I didn't learn anything during interns so what should I do. Should prepare for Neet or work in clinic or do both at same time. I really want to do Oral surgeon or othodontics but I am feeling so depressed because I didn't perform RCT in patients

I read your query 2 times.... Why you want to learn RCT when you want to do surgery or Ortho.... If you want to earn some money for yourself work in clinic or just sit at home and study. Hope this helps.

If you are planning for MDS by the time you finish MDS it will 3 years you will forget whatever course you are doing.. first concentrate on PG then courses.... do not get confused

Now A Days dentistry is losing its shine day by day what it had in earlier times doesn't garner any quality job after passing out of college. Sir I feel like dentistry is a speciality branch producing graduates overly in terms of numbers making it totally exhaustive, saturated. After graduation dental graduates are offered miniscule salary or to work for free which itself is taking away their motivation even MDS are also asked to do so colleges don't even respect MDS people who have the intent of teaching in colleges by offering a token amount.
True. Waiting for officials to open eyes on this....only insurance system can change the scenario
Not insurance sir some private dental colleges need to be closed as WHO recommends 1dentist :10000 population but we have around 1:7000 already In some years down the line the situation will be even more messy.

Get it in Govt. College. That's it...
If you have to work hard you have to....start from 1year... Start answering mcqs from 1st year... Nothing is hard if you divide plan and spend time... Properly

@@diptitandale264 at the beginning don't see for weightage and marks distribution... If you want to become a professor you need to have knowledge not just some important things... Also about online and offline is your choice.... And pick any book from market for mcqs... Start with pulse and read for knowledge not for just solving.... Because you have 5years time prepare for MDS don't be in a hurry to read important questions

There are many courses buy not directly approved by DCI. So you can actually do fellowships in endo, ortho(careful) and other esthetic dental courses.... don't have to give much exams....learn all and focus on one thing at a time...all the best

Sir. I am planning to join bds this yr thro govt quota in Tamilnadu. The yearly fee is 3.5L.i am planning to takr loan will i be able to pay back the loan?
3.5 x 4yrs = 14 lakhs + 2 lakhs for instruments, miscellaneous etc..= 16 lakhs approx
Make it round figure 20 lakhs .... think it this way.... just from BDS ITS DIFFICULT....you have to get govt. College pg seat...it's tough but possible

Hello sir,I am a dentist ..it's been 3 years I have passed out.i gave my one year to try to get govt pg seat but didn't get the govt.one.i did one year COVID duty.and now I am back to my clinical practice.and it's going well I know all the basic work and I can only open my clinic after marriage.i saw in many clinics dentist do implants,smile designing,fmr and many more complex and expensive procedure.so should I start my own clinic with this amount of experience.or do some implants,pedo courses,fmr,etc.pls guide me

2. Doesn't matter there is nothing like slum practice or rich practice...
Every patient is equal and God for us...
3. Select location based on your feasibility to travel.
4. Talk to specialist if needed.

What is dental mechanics? You mean technician!! it is better you give another attempt and get a govt seat... because private for both is an expensive affair!! It depends on the interest you have!!
