Torremolinos is a beautiful and appealing resort noted for its clean sandy beaches, wide choice of hotels and restaurants and unparalleled variety of entertainment, activities and nightlife available. The Torremolinos coastline boasts 7km of beaches along the sparkling Mediterranean. The Bajondillo Beach is a magnificent expanse of beach 40 metres wide and one kilometre long, is located practically in the centre of town and is therefore one of the most visited. Classed as an urban beach, it is highly rated by residents and tourists thanks to its variety of services. It is located between the beaches of La Carihuela and Playamar. The Bajondillo Beach is the beach Infront of the Sol Torremolinos Resort (Don Pablo, Don Pedro and Don Marco hotels).
Torremolinos is located just 10-15 minutes from Málaga Airport. Taxi costs from the airport are about €15. A train from Málaga Airport to Torremolinos Station costs just €1.80 and takes about 22 minutes. The train runs to Torremolinos old town, which is located on the hills of Torremolinos - to get to promenade and sea level, you have to walk downhill or take the steps (approx. 200). There is a municipal lift which is open all year and goes from plaza del Panorama (calle de las Mercedes) to plaza de los Tajillos and costs just 50 cents per journey.
Visitors can enjoy more than 300 sunny days every year with comfortable temperatures. If you're a sunseeker the best time to visit torremolinos is between June and August. The hottest month of the year is August with an average daily maximum of 32 C and an average low of 23 C. The coolest month of the year is January with an average daily maximum of 18 C and an average low of 8 C.
