- INSANE CRAPPIE BITE On the St. Johns River, Florida - Left Them Biting!!! Catch & Cook
Got the call from my buddy Terry informing me that the Spec (Crappie) bite was on fire! So I loaded up, and headed over to the St. Johns River in Florida and met up with him at his house. He had them so dialed in and when we got there the bite was amazing! We caught so many fish in 1 hour that we had to leave the biting! I think we ended up keeping 35-40 fish and threw back about 10-15 fish as well! Unbelievable!

Now that's some fishing right there brother..thank you for the shout buddy..Terry definitely knows what it is up the freshwater.
Thanks bro!!!
Doesn't get any more fun than that. Deadly technique. 👍👍
Yes sir! Thanks for watching
We call that a bream buster👍
We just did that trip again this year and crushed em! Fun stuff
sheepshead backbones are my favorite! The fish markets back home (Pensacola) use to give them away for 50 cents a piece (if I remember right)...
I almost did that with these too! I need to try that
Nice work
Thx 🙏
Thank you so much for this video. Now I know what to buy for crappie fishing on the St. Johns River.
Awesome come back and tell me how you do
As a Native Floridian I can tell ya there's nothing better than fresh fried slab, cheese grits and cinnamon pickles - cold beer of course..
Man that does sound pretty epic!!
Great video! I want that crappie rod for sure.
Yeah pretty cool rod for sure! And it stores easy too
It would be nice if you explained more about the rig and bait.
I did one this year showing the different baits. Sorry this was my first time doing this type of fishing. So fun though.
Heck yeah brother y’all put them the boat no doubt, awesome vid!
Thanks man!!
how deep is this water ? think a larger bay boat can do this type of fishing ?
It was like 6ft where we were fishing but no way a bay boat could get there. The entrance was super shallow. But if you found a sot where they were biting you could definitely do this type of fishing for sure.
Great video's. You are my go to place for information. Question... Crescent Lake area neat Satsuma Fl.. someone said no need to try for January Crappie if the grass shrimp have not move in yet. Anything to this statement? Thanks
I have heard more in the summer months on St. John’s but that is spawn time and probably is good at that time too
those were some beast crappie
Thanks yeah and they ate good too!!!
Terry has those specks dialed in. Saw him with Mike D last spring. I am definitely going to have to try that! Great video!
I’m about to get then again soon !!
awesome video! i learn a lot!
Thanks and I’m still learning freshwater myself! I have a good teacher though. Tight lines !!!
Love Mr. Terry's shirt and love the video. I went deer hunting on Tuesday up in Moore haven didn't get a doe but stopped by a canal on the way home and caught a few crappie I haven't caught them in years being from Miami their not in my area but I was excited and thankful to get the 3 that I caught. Blessings My Brother great content
Sounds like a good trip to me buddy. Actually I caught some crappie and just a tad up from Miami on southern most part of Okeechobee. Beautiful country out there. Tight lines!
@@JackedUpFishing Yessir My Brother very nice country area and it was a great trip. Thanks for the reply and tight lines
I love the description of where yall were at.. I you know you know lol
Yes sir!!! Thanks for watching!

@@JackedUpFishing great thanks
@@jhickox no problem
Around what part of St. johns
Up by Sanford
That looks like a great time. I’m a saltwater guy like you but I actually live on the Saint Johns river. I’m thinking I’ll give this a try! #MilesAwayFishing
Yeah I had a blast and they are good eating as well!
I’m a die hard saltwater guy to and I live right by the Indian river lagoon but saint johns river isn’t far from me I fish for specks in the winter time there and the taste is out of this world. It is a fun fishery for good tastin’ fish. You will love it.
Awesome video love seeing the crappies coming in. Have you tried to do any striper fishing? The wife and I are trying to dial it in, what a blast.
No I haven’t striper fished yet. I might have to give it a go too!
The cool thing about fishing with old timers is they will know specific literal holes that hold fish year after year.
Yep 💯
Thanks for sharing. What part of the St. John’s river were you guys fishing?
Near Lake Jessup!
It wasn’t near lake Jesup. It is Lake Jesup. ! Actually, it’s soldiers Creek, which is on the east side of Lake Jessup. If you go up into that creek about a 10th of a mile, there’s a hole there about 8 feet deep and that’s where they were fishing.
next time also have some shorter crappie jig poles.
Will do
St. John speckin' is about as good as it gets. Gotta get my butt back out to Lake Harney. Where did ya'll film this catchfest?
Around that same area!! I need to go too!!
@@JackedUpFishing I'm in Port St John if ya ever want company on the boat.
What part of the St. John’s brother and do you think the speck will be hitting in the shallows right now?
I am more of the saltwater guy, but my buddy said its going off right now!
From the looks of its doctors lake and south of that (my best guess)
When I fish the Lilly Pads or Saw Grass I I have a Short line on my pole makes it easier to place it in them Holes. Enjoyed It
Yeah I ended up shortening it. But it was actually about 8ft deep where we were fishing. Thanks for watching and giving tips! Much appreciated!
In the meat!
Yes sir!!! Next 3 videos coming are pretty epic!
