  • Ilse Crawford talks about being human and how to tie in our basic emotions with design.
Ilse Crawford believes in creating environments that resonate with people and their emotions. Pleasure in design can be functional, it just requires a different way of thinking, Ilse Crawford believes. Design projects need to start by considering the specific context.
Crawford also talks about her typical work process, discussing projects that involved working with classic English pubs and giving them a more modern edge, while ensuring they retain their charm. Crawford also talks about designing a spa, using materials from the English country. She believes that design should not be about money but rather about a way of seeing things.

Did anyone else understand the title of the book about materials and neuroscience? I’ve played that part many times but still can’t get it...
