    i work as a sale man and lots of time it is very slow. was wondering if this could be done remotely at my work while i am at dealer ship. i had a construction company for 15 years and was body man and painter for my body shop. and just hopping i could use my past experience's to be a remote estimator. while in at my slow selling sales job.

    What I don’t understand is don’t almost all major carriers have their own internal auto adjusters?

    Any advice on being a desk adjuster???

    • @AdjusterTV

      Hi, Daisy.. Generally you have to have some field experience under your belt to get a desk position - however, you can hire straight on as a staff desk adjuster.

    Can you be an adjuster and also insurance agency?

    • @AdjusterTV
      @AdjusterTV  Před 5 lety +2

      I think it would be really challenging to give both careers full attention. When an adjuster goes on cat, there's just about no time for anything else - so the sales side would be on hold through storm season.
      On the daily side, if any of the carriers that the adjuster runs claims for found out that he or she sells for their competitors I'm quite certain that they would stop using that adjuster - they don't want to even let there be a chance that their competitors could be helped.
      When I got hired on to be a staff adjuster (for a year), I was selling my adjuster book. It was a condition of employment that I take down my website and no longer market my book for that reason.
      So to answer your question - either way I think it's *possible*, but probably not practical.
      Those are just my thoughts on it. Good question!

    How possible will it be to make close to six figure doing auto claims?

    • @AdjusterTV
      @AdjusterTV  Před 4 lety +5

      With any IA job, the adjuster needs to be prepared to run a LOT of claims. The secret sauce of this gig is learning how to be efficient as much as learning the policy/estimatics side of things.
