    Appreciate this video! After the battery replacement, did you open up the old "dead" battery and test each cell? Or did you just discard the battery pack?

      Although I still have the old battery I never opened it up yet. Thanks for reminding me. Lol

    Excellent tutorial. Good troubleshoot, great instructions.
    I am having a problem taking apart my Quad 4. I can't pull the bottom off easily, it's like a cable is short and I don't want to force it. I can't see any differences in the cases between the Quad4 and the Hex, just different lighting fixtures.
    Did you have any problems pulling your sets apart? Did you need to apply more than gentle force to get the bottom to drop out?

      Hey bro I have a buddy that has those and we took it apart just the same. Make sure all screws are out of the bottom and sides for sure. It all should slide right out od the bottom.

      Hey bro I do not use American DJ wireless up lights so you will have to ask American DJ tech-support that question.

      In another video I had to change out the Power Supply (Control PCB). That part controls charging of the battery so my issues actually twofold. The first issue is the battery was definitely destroyed and although I put a new battery in it, it worked because the new battery had some charge. I decided to leave the light on until the battery totally died and then try to recharge it which it "did not" recharge. Check it out in this video: czcams.com/video/6qPyFNHu27k/video.html

    I have the HEX and the flarecon air 2. I purchased 18 more new lights and on those 18, the flarecon air is not working. Any advice on how i can fix them? Im in socal.

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes and thank for watching. Ben T. on the flarecon make sure it is set to Wi-Fi if you're using only a tablet or a phone to control your lights. If you are using a DMX controller make sure the flarecon is set to DMX mode.
      Hit the menu button on the HEX4 until you see "S-TR" then hit enter. Then you need to arrow up or down until the display reads "drch" hit enter again to pick a receive channel just like your other lights that works with the flacon or to what ever channel the flarecon air is transmitting on. (Example. If flarecon is transmitting on channel 16, the lights have to DRCH on channel 16.
      Heads up, whenever I operate my freedom pars with just a flarecon I usually set them all to DMX channel 1 on the light to simplify things. (don't confuse this with DMX channels 1-512 versus DRCH channels 1-16. I will then connect my phone or tablet to the flare can pick the Freedom Par HEX$s and start operating with the APP. Whenever I use the flare con app with my DMX controller, I didn't set each light according to the button on the DMX controller I wanted to respond to. In that case the Farrakhan would be set to DMX mode is used as a wireless signal but the DMX controller is ultimately making the lights do what I want them to do
