Most remarkable is the harmonious interplay of all the great architectural epochs of Europe: Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classicism.
Vilnius is an enchanting, lively city with a southern flair. Almost behind every bend in the narrow streets of the old town you will discover a beautiful church.
Lithuania is famous for its excellent, hearty cuisine and spicy beer. Street cafes populated with cheerful students, cozy pubs with live music and bars with drinks at bargain prices invite you to relax.

The Statistical Office of Latvia reported that Vilnius has overtaken Riga in terms of population and is now AGAIN the largest city in the Baltic States (after a gap of almost 200 years); Vilnius - 615,000, Riga - 605,000.
