wow, this might be the first time i've seen a manga recap that included the end of the story arc. normally they just end it on a cliffhanger and you might never see another update. it's kind of nice.
I imagine it is because the publisher (or more specifically, moral committees threatening bad publicity) didn't like the amputee aspects of the story continuing and so asked the author to finish the story quickly or let the story go uncompleted.

Just a random noble being sadistic is a little unsatisfying. Even a sadistic person probably would not go through the trouble of curses and poisons. The amount of effort seems excessive and like there would be a bigger conspiracy going on.
That ending seemed WAY too rushed and crammed with stuff, so I'm thinking the series got cancelled and the author didn't want to just leave it hanging like so many other cancelled manga, so he just crammed everything and the kitchen sink into the last chapter and really didn't have the time to go into great detail, only giving proper attention to the things that still mattered at this point.

I think it is because of the artist's vision of her persona more than a realistic explanation. "The elf has to have scars because I want her to have scars."
Also Cells have memory, Like one time a calm guy got a kidney transplant and he developed an anger issue and he developed a cut like scar on his forehead they later found out the donnar was a Rugby player
The potion repairs damage existing in the moment of consuming. Scars are damage already repaired by the body. A fresh cut heals, but an old scar remains.
"to be continued"? The way it ends sounds like the series is finished... they crammed SO much stuff into that last chapter that it makes me believe they had been serializing the story in some manga magazine (kinda like Shounen Jump, but obviously not THAT one specifically, lol) but then it got cancelled or something so the mangaka just wrapped up all the loose ends in a single chapter. I mean, think about it: she finds her sister, finds out her name, gets arrested, goes to the village gets sentenced to death, the village is attacked by the guy that kidnapped her, they help save the village, they're no longer sentenced to death, they get the secret ingredient to fix Ressure, Ressure gets healed, they find the noble that tortured her, they get rid of that noble, they confess, they get married, there's talk about kids... Seriously all that is in one chapter, MAYBE 2 chapters at best assuming OP didn't skip a ton of stuff... if that doesn't sound like a rushed story conclusion to deal with cancellation, I don't know what is. So forgive me if I happen to have some doubts about the "to be continued" claim, lol

After watching two other cliff hangers I have some margin of faith that given the determination of a blind squirrel working hard enough, it will find a nut. To be honest I feel like the story has already concluded. I think it is for the best that Resure-san never got all of her memories back. (Yeah some of it returned but from her reaction it didn't seem like all of it returned) So the High Potion is basically an Elixir of sorts. I'm glad it's able to regenerate even her eyes. I want to believe that since the crystallized elf tear came from her Grandfather, it also negated the "shortening of lifespan" but I am torn between them since if her lifespan became shorter, she won't have to suffer loneliness since she will die a human's death

I rmmber reading this. And i also rrmber reading a prequel of this were the elf girl was happily bathing by the river and 2 humas saw and abduct her with the intention of selling her. But before that, she was abuse by the 2. disturbing scene.
Over an hour for a story that is realisticly only 30 minutes. That is how much extra words the narrator added to this story. Felt like he just liked to hear his own voice. Since much of what he adds is just rewording what was already said. Thus was just speaking in circles. Ugh just finished it as it was very very rushed. But here is the biggest issue. Originally he refused to use a hi-potion cause it would shorten her lifespan due to the increased metabulisum it would cause.... which means he knows how to make it and has it. But at the end he is given the secret to making hi-potions from the elf and needed special equiptment. And when she takes it. It now restores her lifespan....... wtf?
Yeah I get it a big plothole. But it might be that the elfes created a different kind of high potion that is even more effective. Also 1 point that you mentioned is about him already knowing how to craft a high potion. I bealive he just wanted to buy the high potion - made from humans which would in turn shorten her life span. That is just my thinking and could be completly wrong.
