  • Tommy Carrano's New York game farm was raided in 2017 by federal agents in conjunction with ASPCA specialists. All his chickens, gamefowl art, literature, computers and phones were seized. There was no evidence on the farm or through inspection of the fowl to indicate mis-treatment or fighting, but he'd serve over a year in federal prison for it anyway. To make matters worse, nearly 3 in 4 of his confiscated chickens died in custody. We talk to Anthony Saville, author of the American Gamefowl Standards, about what he saw during his inspections of the ASPCA facilities where the birds were held.
