YOASOBI is a band that creates “music from novels”. The band members are Ayase (composer) and ikura (vocals).
Their first single “Into The Night” released on November 2019 has been streamed more than 700 million times on December 2021 and ranked No.1 on Billboard Japan Total song chart “HOT 100”. YOASOBI also ranked No.1 on Spotify’s “most streamed Japanese artist in the overseas market in the year 2021”. The song “Monster” was chosen for ”The 10 Best Songs of 2021” on the U.S. “TIME” magazine, and YOASOBI continues to draw international attention.
YOASOBI continues to expand the scope of their development beyond music, including the publication of original novels and turning them into movies.

These guys could sing the most catchy songs to dance to...until you check up the lyrics.
For me it's usually not surprising that the lyrics are rather deep because I'm able to pick up on subtle sounds in the song and understand its meaning. I also sing, so I know what emotions you feel while singing a certain way. It's interesting that most don't pick up on it.
That's one of the things that attracts me to them besides the music being top notch.
i also can observe this sometimes on their music whenever there are changes or shifts in tones like going down to a minor or anything like that, I just know the song is not gonna be a very happy one.@@maskedanimatronic147

I love the concept of this group so much !! And seeing especially Ikura getting better and better after each live concerts is also very heartwarming, she gained so much confidence thanks to YOASOBI !! Crunchyroll I Hope you’ll bring them to Europe and the US next year as well 🥹

In my opinion, "Idol" is one of the best anime openings ever, alongside Demon Slayer's "Gurenge", One Punch Man's "The Hero!", Jujutsu Kaisen's "Specialz" and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's "Sono Chi No Sadame"

I’ve been listening to so much Yoasobi this year, they appeared in my Spotify wrapped, almost dominated my top 5 songs. I absolutely adore the complexity in the composition of the songs by Ayase and hearfelt lyrics sung by such a talented and soothing voice of Ikura…
YOASOBI has been my favorite since 3-4 years. They really helped me during the pandemic and my university stress. I will always love and support YOASOBI and Ikura-san's songs. Please perform a live in Vancouer, Canada. I would love to see you guys here! ❤
I’ve listened to a number of their songs! I really like the music YOASOBI makes!!! I really appreciate it when they make English versions of their songs because it feels like they are appealing to international fans! I wish I could have seen them in LA! I hope they have more concerts in the U.S. in the future, I want to go see them perform someday!!! 😆😆😆

I don't even remember when I started listening to YOASOBI, that's how long it's been. I really enjoy "Idol", I was late on the train on enjoying the song when it became popular, bur it grew on me, lol. I enjoy their songs like: Mou Sukoshi Dake, Tsubame, Love Letter, and RGB! First time I listened to idol I stopped listening to my country music and focused only on japanese and cause of that I understand japanese alot more ❤😂

I don't know if anyone involved in the video making process reads these, but if so, the audio of the music was too loud compared to Ayase's and Ikura's voices. They were hard to hear and focus on. Great interview, though!

6:28 I felt their just got off the plane and then started this interview, specifically ikura seems kind of tired. Or they are still tired bc of the time lag. My first thought after watching this interview is “are they got kidnapped to do this interview?😂”. Compared to another interview done with a Korean guy, they are not energetic and smiley or even engaging lol. I don’t know what happened. But I think generally when interviewing Japanese people, the host is very important. The host should be competent to hype up or create a good vibe to let them open the door of their heart to feel free to talk more. I felt like bc they have done so many interviews, they just naturally answer the same things without thinking to the most of these questions 😂

Not gonna lie, kinda sounds like Yoasobi is just a stepping stone for what they want to do as solo artists. Gives me this sad feeling that they will stop making music as Yoasobi soon
