  • Hello there everyone, I am trying to build a magic review channel since a lot of tricks, books, and downloads lack reviews and input. Since I own so much magic, I have decided to create this channel in order to help you make better purchases and give you an idea about what you are purchasing! In this video, I look at Orphic Wallet by Lewis Leval.
If you wish to contact me, I have a twitter and an Instagram page (sebastiantocamagic) in which I am active and ready to answer your questions. I will answer your questions and requests for further reviews with pleasure. Just do not ask me to reveal the method for you!!
Subscribe to help me grow, and make other magicians see these reviews before buying new products.
If any creator would like to send me something, contact me at sebastian.98@hotmail.com

It's a damn good peek wallet. Also some great teaching by the Legend Lewis Le Val himself

Thank you so much for watching! Fine print paired with a simple force or DFB is one of the best EDC possible!

I have three of these. I pre-ordered the original because when it first came out, the pre-orders for Plus were sold out. It was supposed to hold a playing card in the ‘peek’ pocket, but it did not. As I understand it, some were manufactured where it held a playing card and some they absolutely could not. I got one that could not. I wasn’t going to use it for a card to wallet, but I wanted to use blank faced playing cards and that wasn’t possible with the original. When it was restocked, I got one of the original Orphic+ wallets. I love it.
I, too, saw the Black Friday sale and bought a second Orphic+ then, as well. A backup, if you will. Or one I can keep in the car so I’m never without it. I noticed that there is the felt on the inside where the original Orphic and Orphic+ have leather, no felt. I don’t know if they changed manufacturers or wanted to cut production costs or what, but I can tell you I don’t like that change. As you open and close the wallet repeatedly, or remove and insert items into that inside pocket, that felt is going to wear thin and look horrible and eventually start to come apart and get in the way. It significantly reduces the life of the wallet and cheapens its look. And I use that far inside pocket as part of my routine. I’m performing at conventions and that means I’m using that area of the wallet multiple times a day, multiple days in a row for each convention gig I get. For now, I have the luxury of continuing to use the original Orphic+ with the leather interior wall. But I have to wonder why they would make that change. It cheapens an otherwise PERFECT wallet, (at least for me). I wish I could trade in the newly designed one with that felt covered interior wall for an original Orphic+.
Other than that recent change in material, this wallet is perfect for me. I carry it daily and use it often. I mainly use it for the peek, (and I use two of the five peeks they teach most often), but I occasionally will use the switch function. Less to switch something and more to be deceptive about the orientation of the wallet itself. Can’t imagine life without it.
Nice to see a review on it that isn’t two years old and that mentions the material/design change.

Thank you so much for that insight! The felt is what I too heard was a concern for the longevity of the wallet, but as of now it is still holding well on mg part. I also love this wallet and it fits all my needs super well! Thank you for sharing!

Hi Sebastian, excellent review of a fantastic mentalism tool! I actually have 3 of these, the original orphic, original orphic +, and a new style orphic +. I agree that it is extremely useful! Thank you so much for your review that is thorough, thoughtful, informative, candid and enjoyable! Thank you for all you do! Your friend, David

What do you mean new style Orphic+? Was something changed? I just ordered mine from PenguinMagic, and I want to make sure I get the latest version.

@judahmantell Yes I believe as of a few months ago they made it just slightly wider and with felt inside for it to open and close easier! All of them being sold as of now should be the new version!

    Great Review bro!
At this price Orphic is damn good. Nobody would suspect a thing.
I came up with a stunning version of anything by Ben Williams using the Orphic plus 😉 if you know you know.
Keep up the great work Sebastian. Learning a lot about new products from your reviews!

Hi Sebastian, thanks for this great review, I do not own any wallet and am very new to magic, so this review raised a lot of new areas and questions for me to explore further (like how a switch and/or peek would be used in tricks, how many tricks in a set you would use a peek and/or switch in, and many more). As ever, thanks for taking the time to do this review, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on other products!

Hey Jay! Happy to have you in the magic community, it truly is a fun one to be in! A lot of questions will cross your mind in the start, but this quest of discovery as you get deeper into magic is like nothing you have ever seen before!

We must have a very similar taste in magic because I picked this up. Also you reviewed the pro thumb tip light which I also just grabbed. Not only that but you inspired me to pick up flux from theory 11. Keep up the great work.
