This is how it is for car engine. Tried this on my 2 stroke peewee it flew into 2 pieces cause some piston rings have so small tolerance you slide it from the top down like a coil spring instead of prying. Just to let others know before they f up their rings.

Yeah, dont use these if you dont have to it stretches the metal out in a direction its weakest in, better to just walk them on

Spiraling the rings on torsionally twists and possibly bends the rings ..also it scrapes the piston and gouges the crown end. Nice tool but only expand the ring enough to fit onto the 2 nd then the top ring land
