This is such a fun modpack, I have always wanted to have a proper rail system in minecraft over the usual boring rails and Minecarts we have. Really enjoyed the video and look forward to how you further expand ur network. I can imagine this would be really fun for a multiplayer server, where you can create trains to ur friends bases and charge them to come over
This seems like a fun mod to have on a server to get between places. Been using Create for my rail network so far, but I want to give this mod a shot for player transport and use create for cargo.

I'm from Hong Kong, and OMG I didn't know that you could build an MTR system inside Minecraft! This mod actually got all the details (like the signs and how the train looks) done right and you did an amazing job building the system, definitely one of the craziest videos I've watched lately!

Very nicely done from the station build, I find it useful when I build a station using the MTR mod to have the elevators and Escalators in stations either elevated or underground. Also as for the glitching, it was from having objects on the path of the tracks, just need to use a wider tunneling tool in the mod on some of those sections and should not glitch in those sections.
Right yes; they could be nice additions in place of stairs or bubble elevators in stations with height variations. I chose to stick to the more vanilla bubble elevators this time, but I agree that it could potentially look nice in say, the Iron Savannah and more modern builds :) Ah okay good to know the cause of that glitching. I'll try using a wider tunneling tool in those sections to prevent that; I didn't want to use bigger ones because it would make the tracks too wide for my liking. Almost forgot, the nice thing about the elevators is they can be customized in size from how high the ceiling and how wide the the size of the elevators are.

Btw MTR stands for mass transit railway, which is the train of Hong Kong. Everything in this mod basically models after the hong kong railway system, including the signs, etc

Though there isn't enough space for those on base otherside so I just opted for one of the minis. The high speed would make it more usable compared to e.g. elytras for travelling those large distances.

yea! I've seen those transport games and they peak my interest too; hence my interest in Voxel Tycoon. I unfortunately don't have time for it now though xD I've played Mini Metro before though. But gee I didn't realize how old that game is! That explains the graphics. Impressive.

The mod list for the pack is in the description if you are interested! (keep it mind it changes over time especially when I updated to 1.18.2 from 1.18.1, so different videos may have different mod lists.) No texture packs or shaders used most of the time; if I do use shaders it's probably one of the Complementary shaders.

On a related note, one could also argue that some mods I've used here are less vanilla than the way Create does it, e.g. the Alloy Forge in S1E3. Though it's a matter of personal taste and what I've worked with in the past that led me to choose this; I didn't want to add too much complexity from Create personally.
No one gonna waste time building trains with block, come on, if u want me to pick between MTR and Create, I def pick MTR, also remember that is many units of train, if u say realism, I can even use Real Train Mod even compare to MTR, it is a bit headache
I think both mods try to achieve different things and have their own use cases; one is not better than the other. Also is personal preference; some people prefer the more Minecraft survival-oriented approach with Create trains.
As I've iterated in a response to another comment, Create trains weren't implemented yet back when I started this pack over 2 years ago. Decided to keep it as vanilla as possible and use this mod. I wouldn't call the mod bad either; it has a different focus of being a public transport simulator in my opinion (as said in the video) rather than a traditional train mod.
One thing, I ain’t using create bc too time wasting like digging tunnel and wasting time building trains, remember I mean trains like 8 cars so if u say MTR is bs then I say craete is time wasting

ah I haven't heard of that game before, though it looks similar (in concept) to Voxel Tycoon. Haven't played that myself though.
