In the mountains of Mongolia along the border with Russia, where the Tsaatan reindeer herders live in the heart of this amazing world. Far from the noise of the modern world, these people became the guardians of the ancient traditions and ancient customs of their people.
Their main occupation is reindeer herding, a traditional trade that is passed down from generation to generation. Reindeer play an important role in the life of the Tsaatans, providing them with meat, milk and hides, as well as a means of transportation over the harsh and uneven terrain. The Tsaatans skillfully manage herds of reindeer, caring for them and ensuring their health and well-being.
Reindeer are the Tsaatans' main source of survival in the mountains. They are invaluable creatures that help Tsaatan families not only find food and lead normal lives, but also carry out cultural and religious rituals associated with their belief in shamanism.

The village life of an elderly couple in a mountain village represents a unique rural life. These old men who live their lives on top of the mountain have experienced a lot and have become an iconic image of village life. They are an example of hard life in the mountains and show how people live in harsh conditions.
One of the features of the life of an old couple in a mountain village is traditional food and village cooking. They are prepared only from natural products collected around their village. This country food is full of flavor and organic, making it super delicious.

I have to say good things about the woman's husband (blue clothes) who first drinks the hot milk to warm up, then, he is such a good helper!! I keep watching him do so many things to help with the evening meal.....chopping meat,chopping onions, putting firewood into the cook stove! Amazing, I've not seen other men doing such chores.

I live in America but my family is from eastern Europe. The best food I make is the simple food that my parents and grandma made. Just basics. Cabbage, onion, butter, noddles. Also kielbasa and blood sausage. These people remind of them.
From the southern US, this way of life is comforting to watch….but I admire the tenacity to live like this. We are so spoiled…just with running water. Love to all that watch and produce this.

When I lived in the Netherlands I ate Vietnamese food ever now and then. A Vietnamese woman sold Vietnamese snacks from a mobile kitchen on a parking lot near the Rabobank in Tiel NL. Now I live in eastern Europe without Vietnamese food. I also like Indonesian food. Many Dutch people like Indonesian food.
