Ito-Yokado Fukushima store, which has been decided to close

In September 2023, it was reported that the Ito-Yokado Fukushima store would close in the spring of 2024, but the store was photographed in anticipation of its closing in 2022.
This is because as of 2022, there were plans for Aeon Mall Kita-Fukushima (tentative name) in the neighboring Date City. A similar incident occurred between the Nagano store and Suzaka City, and in the case of the Nagano store, 7&i was involved in the redevelopment but withdrew.
The survival of the Fukushima store was difficult due to 7&i's management circumstances, the age of the store, and the market environment of other companies such as Aeon.
