Cruising is a bargain! The perks are nice. We cruise and stay with Carnival because of the product they offer. The ships are great balance between elegant and casual. There is always activities for everyone. It is very family friendly. It is a great fit for us.
I TOTALLY agree!
Me three!!!!
I made it to platinum in 2 years because I had so many great offers. I must say many of them were the casino offer also.
Another good thing with Carnival is, if you reach a new level during a cruise (say, on the 4th day of a 7 day cruise), they count you as being at the higher level for all 7 days!
That is a great benefit. Royal Caribbean does not acknowledge a change in level until the following cruise.
I was hoping for that, I'm 6 days before platinum and I have am 8 day in June 2023, so that means I'll be platinum when I board or after the 6th day?
We’re Platinum and love it. I wish there was something in between Platinum and Diamond because that’ a big leap.
Nancy Maldonado Seems like I’ve been platinum forever
I totally agree! Platinum and I want to be DIAMOND!!!!
Emerald is between Platinum and Diamond. It requires 55 points.
I agree. A Gold card is visually impressive, but lacks impressive benefits...
@@tonypereira4518 That is Royal Caribbean, not Carnival.
Diamond also gets guaranteed restaurant times. Both at the main dining room and specialty restaurants. Trust me that is a very cool feature.
VIFP also has special deals on cruises. I was able to get a 7 day cruise for $100.00 balcony room ($200 for my husband and I). The taxes were more than the room. I love being a VIFP member.
I made Platinum on my last cruise.
I’ll make it on my next cruise! I’m excited about it.
Platinum is awesome, you get your own boarding parade, or at least that's what I call it. My wife loves the laundry benefit, uses it every cruise to take home clean clothes.
We love the free laundry with the platinum level. The gifts are a hit and miss. My favorite gifts was a beach bag and one that had chargers for your electronics
Tony sorry to learn about your grandmother. Your family is in my prayers
Hey guys I just turned Diamond on Royal with 80 cruise days. Love to see a video comparing all the major lines repeaters perks please.
We are about 3 or 4 sailings (I think) from Platinum BUT we also like to stay in suites which also get priority embarkation and debarkation and 1 bag of complimentary laundry. 🛳❤️
Platnium here. Love love love. The free gift in room. Free chocolate strawberries, free cocktail party. Free drink at brunch or lunch, best of all laundry. We do stay loyal to Carnival. We cruise 95% of the time on Carnival. We have cruised RC and Norwegian but for sure like Carnival the best. We started Cruising in 2013 when our daughter was a PVP for Carnival we became Platinum in 2019. We have enjoyed the perks for the last 3 cruses. We have 3 cruises booked for 2021, Jan 22; March 5 2022 and then 14 day next year. Thanks for the show Tony. BTW your utube is much more entertaining and informative then the several others i came across. Keep up good work. Hope to see you and Jenn on cruise sometime. I think you would make a great cruise director! My opinion!
Even if there weren’t these awards, it’s still a bargain to cruise. All the perks are nice.
Sure, but people with multiple cruises should enjoy expedited boarding...
I will be platinum on my next sailing!!!! I cannot wait!!! I love Carnival. I hope we sail together soon! See ya on the LIDO!
I took my mom on her first cruise last January. She only put an extra $6 on her sign and sail card. She said she had everything she needed and wanted already with the cruise. Me? $300 because of the cruise photos... I love the cruise photos.
My husband did the same. $0 on his card. I won't even talk about how much was on mine. We do separate cards. He's not happy about me wanting to go to the steakhouse as part of our onboard cruise credit.
My 14 yr old daughter and I are Platinum. The perks are awesome. She will be diamond before most adults. Love you both!!😄
We are so close to platinum on Carnival. The biggest perk we are looking forward to is Priority Boarding.
Me too!
The gifts are great to and free launtry
You can buy priority boarding. Ask
I am waiting to see how Covid ends up taking away the priority boarding, where we can board anytime. We may still have priority but you will still have to show up at the designated time.
Sure, but be sure to attend the Platinum/Diamond loyalty party on-board. Carnival can throw a party!
We made GOLD on Carnival on our last Carnival cruise in December 2018 and now working toward Platinum. We are also working on getting to Platinum on RCCL too! Takes a bit longer when your only cruising each cruise line once a year.
Yes, we agree! We’re working on platinum on both also.
I love the Mics !!!! I love this type of setting y’all did 🤙🏽
I've never cruised with Carnival and I still enjoyed listening. Nice work.
Wow your setup us much more professional, congrats! I was blessed to have yall for planning my July 2019 Honeymoon!
I’ve always said that Carnival rewards you with “state fair” prizes lol . But I still sail because it’s the fun ships
Hey Lifewithus 🙋♀️
I only sail Carnival ! My bucket list in life is to be Platinum ! I want the pin and FTTF. Yes, only Carnival and now I'm stuck on 'let's explore all of the Liberty'. My next cruise is again...the Liberty, this will be 3rd time. I pick all my cabins where I want to be and next one...is about 20 steps to the lido deck and fun :)
I've been on both RC and Carnival, but I definitely prefer Carnival (although I have to pay some 30% more for an inside room).
Being VIFP platinum is GREAT. I love it.
Hey Tony and Jenny!!! This is why we always cruise with Carnival. It helps to keep the cruise price in our range so we can cruise every year. We’re platinum now and totally enjoy our laundry being done, the water, pins etc. We really don’t expect any of these gifts as CCL prices allow us to cruise more than we ever dreamed of!! :-) our friends cruise with NCL, pay way more than we do and do get more perks but they can only cruise once every two years or so. All the best from Nova Scotia!!!
Turned Platinum last cruise. So freaking awesome to have the laundry service. Everything else was nice but the laundry, primo.
We are ~20 days from platinum. Can’t wait for all those perks!
I was wondering all this too. Great video guys!
My wife and I made Platinum and we loved it. Some nice extras like gifts each cruise and the two for one slot tournament entry.
you bought it. its not a gift
A couple of years ago, we went from Gold to Platinum while on a 14 day cruise and didn't realize it until we went to Guest Services to inquire. We received an invite to a private party and received our new Sign and Sail cards. We also took advantage of the Fluff and Fold which made the cruise that much more enjoyable. If we never get to Diamond, we're still good!
My husband and I are one cruise away from reaching gold. We love to cruise and can't wait to go on our next adventure!
LOVE Platinum for early bording....great for the party also....great show guys..
I’m loving the 🎙 setup!!!
I’m not a cruise snob, but platinum on Carnival is just the bomb diggity. Love the embarkation, debarkation, tender priority experiences and laundry service ... oh my ... how I love getting to enjoy my cruise without worrying about carving out time to do the laundry. It’s awesome! I agree that Diamond takes way too many nights but hey ... I love to cruise ... so why not ... I will get there pretty soon.
Thanks for reminding us why we might consider be loyal to Carnival or at least maybe more loyal than we had planned! Can't wait to see how the other established cruise lines compare!
This popped up on my suggestion area and now I have to watch the podcasts.
We just became Platinum on our last cruise which was a Journey's cruise. The best perk was the free laundry service. We didn't have to wait when we got to port at all, it was check in and board and that was at 1130am.
We’re platinum on our August cruise and looking forward to the laundry.
I’ve always booked suites on carnival, that comes with a lot of perks. It’s comes with a lot of what platinum offers minus souvenirs. Priority everything and our room is always ready once we board.
I've been platinum for the last two cruises. It's a nice perk to have. The gift they gave us was the tervis mug.
Dang.....Luiz beat me to it...:-).....First cruise was honeymoon Sept 2001. Have always enjoyed them. Will be taken our first Royal Caribbean with La Lido Loca Group Feb 2021. It is going to be a blast.
I'm booked for Hawaii in sept.2022 so looking forward to then. I'm platinum and the perks are nice. I booked two cabins for my family with balconies, after all its 15 days and its Hawaii so the views from the cabins is spectacular. I have become addicted to longer cruises 7 days just pass to quickly. I have been on the Miracle for two other sailings to Hawaii and it's nice to know the ship layout and be familiar with everything. I'm sold on Carnival it's the right mix of fun and family.
I started with a red, one more 3 day and I will be gold 🎉🎉
Wooohhoooo another one to be first. Letsss go carnival started my first cruise in March 2019 for our honeymoon now going on our 3 in December 2019
My wife & I are platinum & loving it!!!
we just made gold on our next sailing in March so cool looking to book more to get to platinum lol hope the pockabook makes it lol.
We are Platinum on Princess. Love the separate early boarding, 150 internet minutes, separate area to disembark with coffee and other goodies while you wait. Like others stated, do a comparison. See if dollar for dollar is same or different and if so, how much? When we look at picking a cruise, we are looking at the per day cost of the cabin first. Then if there are any sales that's a great one too.
It seems that once you start investing your money into a certain cruise line they try to entice you to stay with the different levels. Honestly, we started with Princess because we thought what they offered fit our needs, as we cruised more with them we looked at the rewards. Thanks for sharing!
It's no secret I'm loyal to Carnival and I can't wait to be platinum. I think I'm at 40 days so at least over halfway there.
One thing to keep in mind as you get into those higher levels is Carnival still offers their "milestone" cruises. 25th, 50th, 75th, 100th (eek) cruise you get a very nice benefit. 25%, 50%, 75% of the cruise ticket price is offered as onboard credit. 100th cruise, for the real fortunate cruise-a-holics get a free 8 day or less sailing for 2 people!
In my book Princess has the best loyalty program. Once you hit Platinum you get a minimum of 150 free Internet minutes. Once Elite, you get unlimited laundry. I'm fortunate to have Elite, due to travel agent training. We did over $100 of laundry for our last 10 day cruise.
Oh Jenny!!! Your accent is too adorable. I'm a California girl and sometimes I have to rewind the video to understand what you're saying. Don't every lose your New Yawk accent!
The good thing about Florida and cruising is, we have 5 Ports to cruise from. Jacksonville, Port Canaveral, Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale), Miami, and Tampa. If you don't like one port pick a different one. We find too many different Ships/Companies in Florida to be that loyal to just one.
I’m currently gold! 7 days on the Carnival Splendor, 7 days on the Carnival Magic, 7 days on the Carnival Inspiration, and 10 days on the Carnival Sunrise.
Your new mic's make your voices sound fantastic!!
You guys are so awesome, they should just comp. You the Platinum cards.
Come on Platinum!!!😍😍😍
Platinum here we come, one day at a time. 😊Jenny
If you’re playing in the casino, you’ll get even more perks. What you’re reading is like the minimum benefit! The casino will send you tons of deals! I can’t tell you how many “free” cruise offers I’ve gotten. Often an inside cabin, sometimes oceanview, and occasionally even balcony cabins! On those I’ve only had to pay taxes, port fees, gratuities & travel insurance (recommended). It doesn’t get any better than that! This has made it easy for me to get to Platinum, because those cruise days count towards reaching your levels.
I love to cruise because I can pay out the cruise, there is enough variety of things to do you make your vacation what you want it to be. You can find food and activities that suit all age groups. I don't cruise for the VIFP perks but if I can do something I love and get an extra gift or benefit at the same time, I feel like that's the icing on the cake.
My two favorite perks are priority boarding and free laundry. When you have the laundry service, you can pack less to begin with, then you can have clothes washed near the end of the cruise so you don't have to do laundry when you get home. Three bags per platinum cruiser per cabin gives us six bags, so you can do a lot more laundry than you think. Most of the gifts are nice, some not so great, but they're gifts, so they're very much appreciated.
love this educational video. Heres is an unwritten perk on carnival diamond level. The staff gets a preliminary diamond customer list and is required to memorize all diamond guest and call them by name while on the cruise. That makes me feel like a rockstar and yes I'm a happy diamond carnival loyal client.
We are at 49 days and have 8 days booked. We don't cruise for the perks, that's just a bonus. We also like FTTF on longer cruises.
Congrats on getting Gold! Good luck on working towards Platinum, at least it is something you can have fun doing.
My wife and I are nearing Diamond on Carnival. In fact, we will become Diamond on the cruises we already have booked (if they're not cancelled and we finally get to sail!!!). I can't imagine anyone books cruises just to get to the next level and to get the "perks", but the perks are nice for those who have been loyal to the cruise line. We consider cruising to be the best value for our vacation money because once onboard, our cabin, cabin service, meals, entertainment, activities (like mini golf, shuffleboard, waterslides, basketball, movies, etc.), pools/hot tubs, etc. are all included AND I don't have to drive anywhere, make reservations, secure tickets to shows, choose a restaurant, or figure out directions. That's a BIG WIN for ME!!! So, yes, it's not cheap to get to the next loyalty level, but we're getting a LOT for our money and the perks just reward us for our loyalty. Come on, Tony and Jenny! Get to Diamond and we'll meet you at the Captain's Diamond Party! We'll see you there!
I'm platinum..and what you didn't mention are the DEEP discounts on cruise offers. I also play in the casino....
Just booked a 10 day journeys cruise for 200.00 with 200.00 OBC! Essentially free , port fees and taxes and gratuities, travel insurance took the cost to 550.00 total!
Yep, the loyalty perks are great!
We're in the complimentary bottle of water category. Wow, what a valuable perk.
We just went platinum and I'm treated like a royal pimp. The laundry deal is the best and most used. The free gift is really nothing. We got lanyards.
I will be platinum on my next cruise and I’m really excited about it!
@@karyndewit193 you will love the priority boarding. Also on tenders when you have to take one. Some other perks too but the premium boarding is the best.
Debbi Chrissinger I am REALLY looking forward to the premium boarding and the priority line at guest services. Is the party nice?
@@karyndewit193 yes the party is awesome.
Karyn deWit The party is fine. They pass out FREE drinks (wine, beer, soda, rum punch and some other drinks) and h'or dovers (sp?) and you get to meet the captain, and the heads of all departments on board so that is really nice. They show a great video on al the ships and sometimes even have some contests that are fun, so over all it is fun. They only have them on 5 day plus cruises.
I remember in the 90's EVERYONE attended the VIFP gala i miss it. Not quite a platinum member yet but getting close.
As platinum we get laundry service that’s our fav bene on NCL n Carnival. Plus early boarding n disembarkation n some other bene it’s really a great level plus when we sail MSC they match the platinum status of your other cruise ships by giving you their Black card status but no free laundry service Tony we get great perks as platinum plus on NCL
I've been gold for my last 5 cruises im definitely looking forward to the day my card changes.
My cruise in February will get me platinum. Finally
I was so excited to get the Gold card but Platinum is going to be awesome. It's all about priority boarding! BTW some other cruisers noticed my gold card at the muster drill and were impressed. Best muster drill EVER! LOL
Wow I just make gold on my last trip last week I was so excited.
Tony! I’m not sure if you know this but if you sail out of Miami you can check in at the Miami airport and go rite into the ship as soon as you get to the dock! They throw you in the faster to the fun line and before you know it you’re on board!
I’m not going to be on a ship for a few months but I’ll be sure to include it in my next video!
I will be Gold my next cruise. We had a party just for multiple cruisers on our last cruise, free food & drinks. I love Faster to the Fun I think it was 90.00 per room. I go out of Charleston S.C. because I drive down from Ohio save on air-fare; book a hotel that keeps my car saves on port parking fee shuttle to the ship. from their been on Fantasy; Ecstacy; & now the Sunshine is there. 5-day cruise is around 1,000.00 for a 5-day cruise inside room.
I just made gold in 2018! Still got a long way to go for platinum, that's when the real perks kick in. It would be awesome if you guys would do a comparison video comparing like 2 or 3 cruise lines rewards program. I've only ever cruised with carnival so it would be nice to see what royal or Norwegian offers.
I definitely like that platinum I can’t wait to get that
I didn't know about getting the free drink on the last day! I've been missing out. Take care
You should do a video on royal Caribbean rewards program
The best is being in the Player’s Club , I got a seven day cruise on the Carnival Vista next year.I got a free Cove Balcony Room, with $200 on board credit.Free drinks in the casino.Only paid $100 a person and port fee and taxes.
I'm platinum, and the on-board party plus boarding benefits are what I look forward to...
I am gold working on Platinum. Three cancelled cruises 2 were on Carnival. I think they should give us half the days for each of the cruises that we missed. It would really be nice goodwill gesture that wouldn't cost them a whole lot. The onboard credit was okay, but I always want more. LOL
I have sail 3 times on NCL sometimes they offer double the points per nights. So like on Alaska I got double the points. Now I am silver. They are having promotion on double points again. I always buy a cruiseNext so I have be rope in to their loyalty. Even though I want to cruise other lines and go Carnival cruise. It hard for me to get way from the cruiseNext
I'm on my last Gold member cruise this October. Next year wiill be getting my platinum card when we sail on the Mardi Gras.
We are high-ranking platinum members from Carnival and we also Cruise on other lines the best thing about Carnival is the no doing your own laundry I love the laundry perks they give us on our platinum membership but that is absolutely it nothing else is worth anything to me just do my laundry and I am a happy Sailing person
I’m 9 days away from gold. We will get there next year on our Alaska cruise.
So many perks to keep track of. We just cruise on one of the Carnival brand ships (HAL, Princess, Carnival, etc.). and get $250-500 O.B.C for Military and Stockholder. At 72, we don’t need anymore trinkets, priority this or that. We need to cruise when we want to, where we want to at a price we can afford. Most of the time we book shoulder season and repositioning cruises. They give you the most bang for the $. We book through a TA and look for good rates for where and when we want to go. Credit card airline miles are great, but right now, we are going to drive to the port since there are so many flights being canceled.
If we can ever get to our next cruise - rescheduled 3 times - we will be platinum. Yea!
Platinum and free laundry is what I love. Congrats on making Gold.
I am a 3 Star, almost 4 star cruiser on Holland America. I travel mostly to Europe / Mediterranean Ports. For flight, hotel, cruise, transportation, balcony room and drink package I pay about $350 per day per person, minimum 14 day cruises... Once per year... I love the perks, food, entertainment, and service of Holland America...
When we turned Gold we were invited to the party and it was tapas and all you can drink. The next cruise they changed that to the Platinum level. Now we're Platinum and we attend. We also use the laundry every so often but we never use 'all' of the laundry benefits. We're like 75 to Diamond.
I've used the free drink coupon before the last night with no problems.
I think I like the perks on Royal Caribbean a bit better, you guys should do a perks comparison 🤗
I agree. Do a rewards comparison. My first RC cruise was in March on Symphony of the Seas and we’re already getting priority embarkation and debarkation and can wait in the debarkation lounge. Our next cruise is in January on the Mariner of the Seas, can’t wait to see how it works.
Yes do a comparison between C&A and vifp
You need 700 to be diamond on Royal Caribbean. You only need 200 to be Diamond on Carnival. No brainer!!
Mr Md Gold. Cruise Points: 3.
Platinum. Cruise Points: 30.
Emerald. Cruise Points: 55.
Diamond. Cruise Points: 80.
Diamond. Plus. Cruise Points: 175.
Pinnacle. Club. Cruise Points: 700
@@mrmd31 diamond isn't hard to get on rcl. it starts at 75 or 90 days on board. diamond with rcl is so much better than diamond on carnival
Check out NCL’s latitude rewards. It works like carnival with points per days of cruising. The benefits are good at gold level (55 points), but they are great at platinum and beyond (80 points). Priority embarkation, disembarkation, and tenders, 2 specialty dinners on 5+ nights cruises, free bag of laundry, free minutes of internet, cocktail parties, chocolate strawberries, discounts on excursions, behind the scenes ship tour and many more. And once you take 1 cruise with them, you can rack up points faster by taking cruises that are on the monthly latitudes offers. You get an extra point per night. We reached platinum level in 6 cruises doing that.
Nice mics. Great sound quality.
It would be interesting to know which cruise line has the best rewards perks.
You do need to do a podcast comparing the different lines and their loyalty programs. Maybe invite someone to come on with you and offer their insights
Ever sailed outta Galveston before? If so, what are your thoughts on their cruise terminal?
I will be Platinum My next Cruise and am Excited about the Laundry Services. If The Pandemic haven't Happen I would have been Well heading toward Diamond Level with is after 199 day
No priority boarding on carnival during covid.. but since all ships at low capacity..boarding really quick anyway.. no cocktail party either..but got my pin!
I believe they put a dollar limit on the free drink for Gold Card members. 8 or 10 dollars, I can’t remember which. Also Priority Boarding is given to anyone booking a suite . You don’t have to wait until Platinum level for that perk.
I’m platinum and really enjoy the wash and fold. I also like the party and the they have soooo many drinks left, they’re begging you to take a drink with you.
I turned gold on my last cruise my next cruise in February will be my 5th Carnival Cruise
For me the only good thing is the faster to the fun ViP. Since am always paying extra for that option when ever is available at my cruises.but the most i ever paid was $120 on an 8 day cruise on the horizon and it's totally worth it you even get priority in the costumer service.
Don't forget that once you get to Platinum you don't have to wait at guest services. You have a much shorter line and I usually am able to walk right up!!
