Game 2 in the Maria v Gerard game seemed sloppy on both sides. Maria going for Obsession into obvious removal (what hand is Grixis keeping with no plays until turn four against Auras, and he's even clearly hollywooding the pen trick) with no protection when she has a Vanguard to better suit up the following turn gave Gerard a chance to get into a game she should crush.
Gerard missed a life from an Aetherborn attack early on, missed casting Gonti pre combat in case of an Obsession or Cartouche for his Aetherborn (the single life points could matter in that game), fired the Abrade to save one life vs either saving four life from the Vanguard or holding it for a better target, and didn't double block the 4/4 Pouncer, instead chumping to hope for a removal spell on top of his deck, which would be a 2 for 1 either way.
Appreciate that neither player is a professional, everyone makes mistakes and the added stress of being on camera is real, but these games could have been better played on both sides.

I probably would have played out that game 1 but I'm not the expert

NeoKyKy Carlos made the right call. With Chandra Torch of Defiance it's gonna be 2 damage galore every turn and then the ultimate was gonna pop up in 2 to 3 more turns and Carlos doesn't have enough mana to counter a lot of the cards by John to survive within the next 2 to 3 turns.
