  • I have never seen two successful J-Pop and K-Pop groups collaborate in this fashion. Never. Yes there are cameos or collabs for some TV shows or concert in the past but.....FULL ON Promotion of a song Together? This is new and someone plz tell me how this happened. It is not like they are under same label or anything. AND everything was good too. Great powerful song performed by these two groups together. This is such a good thing when relations between the two country has bee difficult for so long.

Pretty sure a full group collaboration has never happened and this is what makes this whole project absolutely amazing!!
Because not just the group, but the producers worked together to make the music. And the choreographer who made this has worked with both groups often.
    WE NEED MORE OF THIS!!!
I just watched the audition show for BE:FIRST and fell in love with SKY-HI. His ideals in creating this group and his artists is awesome. He cares about his people and he LOVES music. He wants to break the walls that we’ve gotten used to in the KPOP/JPOP communities

Thank you for your reaction💕 The first person to say ”BE:FIRST “is Sota.Sota’s dance is crazy. Sota has won the world dance competition four times.
The collaboration between BE: FIRST and ATEEZ is amazing. This collaboration started when ATEEZ appeared at "D.U.N.K.Showcase KYOCERA DOME OSAKA" by SKY-HI,the CEO of the company :BMSG that BE:FIRST is belong .
So Mingi and Hongoong performed rap collaboration songs with other groups ‘s rappers (including SKY-HI of CEO and rappers ,and BE:FIRST's Ryouki). I went to that live show, and it was so cool. It has been a long-standing dream of SKY-HI to interact like this beyond the boundaries of the group. I think it is might borders and genre barriers that ATEEZ is breaking in the video of this MV. " We don't need shields and spears. “ I guessed as if he was saying, "Just enjoy the music."
K-pop and J-pop are also losing barriers, so SKY-HI used to say that if he dare to classify it, he ‘ll call it A (Asian)-pop .
You can watch D.U.N.K.'s rap collaboration video on the D.U.N.K. channel.↓
    “#7 (D.U.N.K.) SKY-HI Rap collaboration”
You can also watch a part of ATEEZ's live performance and other groups‘s collaborations on the D.U.N.K. channel.

lol omg someone that laugh of oliv and peperoni and think in pizza like me. I think they did an awesome job mixing the groups and producers. As far as I know the Sky Hi director fell in love with Ateez on kingdom ( a show on MNET) and when he had the chance to get closer to them he invited to a collab concert D.U.N.K. with other japanese groups for rap and dance and they got to meet there. Ateez is a very friendly and gentle group and they are always willing to blend specially cause they have more oportunities out of Korea cause unfortunally since their company is small and now growing because of their success, right now only big company groups get spotlight or interest there. So Ateez grow outside of korea a lot they are one of the big groups with the foreigners, but they are very very invisible in Korea, those lyrics they kind of talk about that. So there is a lot of people outside Korea that actually keep tabs on them and want collabs or engagment. So like I said they are very nice guys and if people treat them well they are super welcoming. So they got close during that collab concert and probably there the project was made. Usually "collabs" are more like feature, but they made it like 2 becoming one, they took care to match vocals. The high note at that time is Jongho, he is wearing a beanie. The groups did so well that they released the audio first people had to figure out who was. Is easier when they sing in Korean but sometimes was english. Anyway Be:First is as talented as Ateez, they dance really well and have great vocals, rapping great live and underdogs in Japan cause there is also hard cause there are companies that rule the enterteinment and they are also small and growing a lot. So, they can relate lol Their japanese fans most loved, a few I think not so much cause like you said, that never happens.

Here's something fun for you: There is a remix of Fireworks called I'm The One (HEAT-TOPPING ver.) because it was done by Peperoni and Oliv, pizza toppings. lol
How this colab happened: SKY-HI is behind it. He did a project called D.U.N.K. (Dance Universe Never Killed) last year. He wanted to break down barriers and discrimination in dance and music, so brought together a bunch of groups, mostly Japanese, for a big two-day showcase concert where there were a lot of colabs. There was a TV show where he would put two teams together, and he invited BE:FIRST (who are on his label) and ATEEZ to meet and see about a colab, and what that would be. He thought they would get along really well, and they do. The other groups did a colab stage at the showcase, but they didn't. They did this. (There was a colab stage with the rappers from all of the groups. Mingi and Hongjoong were in that. Hongjoong even wrote his rap in Japanese! It was very cool.) ATEEZ performed both days of the big showcase at Kyocera Dome in Osaka. It was a great event, and the stages were shot really well. I'm super impressed with SKY-HI.
Fans of both groups seem really happy with this colab. ATEEZ gets more exposure in Japan (they've been growing there a lot this year already) and BE:FIRST gets seen by global fans through ATEEZ. They are both booked at a couple of shows in Japan later this year and we're all crossing our fingers for a live stage or three.
Often (not always) you can get around copyright blocks by obscuring the screen of the video to some degree. Making it a bit transparent, putting text over it, snow effect... Mostly people just get a Patreon and post the performances and blocked stuff over there. Less hassle. I keep trying to think of live performances to recommend to you, but nearly all of them are block city most of the time.
I'm actually surprised they aren't blocking anyone for this song, since it'll be on BE'FIRST's next album. Honestly, I don't know how Japanese groups hope to break through outside of Japan... they make it SO hard to spread their stuff.

I laughed so much at "Kim Hongjoong and Song Mingi" in the credits being "some Korean guys". :D :D :D (Those were the names of Ateez rappers, they write their own lyrics.)
And I agree so much about this being a proper collaboration, I was super excited that it wasn't one group being a feature or one group getting a lot more screen time, they really split it equally, and actually merged the vocals (and dance) together. I would love these two to have an EP or an album together if this is how it's done. I hear they will do a live performance together soon, I hope it's true, should look epic on the stage.

from my knowledge (but I am not a 100% sure!!) I think the fandoms collaborated during award season voting for both groups with the hashtag #BESTINY (a word which comes from the two fandom names) and then the groups met at a show /festival in Japan, D.U.N.K, (the rappers from both groups may have had a shared stage) . I think the boys must have clicked and gotten along and now we have this song !!

I giggle every time that I read the credits on their songs with the pizza toppings.. but those pizza toppings add such great flavor to their music so I love that they're there every time😂. Really enjoyed that song. I think the reason why it's cgi heavy is because they're singing about the metafiction... so it's that fictional world that I think they might have wanted to emphasize. I can't believe they did such a great colab!

The High Note dude will always be JONGHO from #ATEEZ the one you are most impressed about in Killing Voice. When it comes to recent generation he is still the UNDEFEATED MAIN VOCALIST of the 4TH AND 5TH Generation of KPop. J pop I have no idea in their country yet. So yeah, He is the One Hitting the high notes

Kim Hongjoong and Song Mingi are Ateez members. Most of the rest are Edenary, Ateez composers. Pepperoni and Oliv are known for being “toppings”, they remixed a song by Ateez and called it heat topping version.
