Hey Justin, the difference between the G-Lynx and the Lynx is that the G-Lynx has a better engine which was added so it could break the helicopter speed record. The 'G' is the UK's Civil Aviation Code as the aircraft was civilly registered with Leonardo (Formerly AgustaWestland) but technically it could use the same armament as the Military Lynx.
Doesn't Glynx have a different propeller with an experimental shape? If I remember it does and lynx doesn't
@@monkesoldier3002 It got the main rotor blades and the tail boom of the Westland 30. Usually the "normal" Lynx got them too in a later refit (they're called BERP rotor if i remember correctly). We just get an early Lynx ingame, something before the Lynx AH.7 according to my interpretation of wikipedia.
On release it also had a fixed loadout that couldn't be customised. The customisation of loadouts was a recent addition in the past year for it.
The Chally Mk.2 has certianly grown on me recently especially with how common premium Leopard's and T-72's are. The Turret armour is decent enough, the forward mobility is ok, but the great firepower, reverse speed and especially the 10.0 BR compared to the 10.3 most of its contemporaries sit at really make it a dream to play.
Worth a revisit imho.
or uptier it to 10.3 along with the mk.3 for the better ammo and you get the very nice Stormer HVM to kill those pesky Su-25 and whatnot.
i normally do 10.3, much better cuz u also got vickers mk7, stormer hvm, jaguar gr.1a and my main 10.0 mbt, the TTD, works flawleslly, and if i feel like doing speedy stuff, just put the rooikat 105 in the lineup ( would put mttd if it had dm33/dm63 )
i love the british tanks even the 9.0 or the 8.0 or w/e is pretty solid in 10.0

Look at the Mangusta (10.0 Italian helicopter). 8x Hellfires (like the G-LYNX), chin-mounted gun, and 4x Mistrals (not ATAS) for slightly worse maneuverability and top speed.
roikat + Challenger DS + G-Lynx is soooo nasty as a combo, best way to grind events xD

I still use the GLYNX in my 11.7 lineup and still get a ton of kills with it. At 10.0 might be a bit abusive, but britain is the underdog in most of the rest of areas so whatever. Also, the correct way to use the locking system is to lock 2 times so it lets you track the vehicle while also change the impact point so you can aim for ammo racks or center mass, specially necessary to 1 hit most of russian tanks. in this way I can get 8 kills out of 8 missiles most of the time.
G Lynx and Swedish mi28a are the biggest sleepers in the balance department. I've seen these 2 wipe out 10.0 teams single handedly.
And best thing is ozelot can't do shit about it

I was refering to helicopters but I think the issue people have with 2s38 is that it's a GE premium. I think Swedish light tanks are far more destructive, faster and more generally mobile. They are however all in the tech tree, none being premium and spammed hard.@@TheRealShangajac

You should legit revisit the A129CBT, cause personally I had a blast using it. I even got a 13 kills using it.
I was surprised he looked at the G-Lynx and not the cbt. Cbt is way better and its at the same br.
By far the best 10.0 heli. Just a shame it takes ages to grind with Italy 😂

I’ve been irregularly attempting to use the tech tree one. I grinded extremely hard for it, through both of the boring 8.3 helis. I did that so I could play with a friend who purchased the G-LYNX. As soon as I made it there, he stopped playing it and switched nations lol. I’m currently stock, and the stock loadouts at 10.0 with no rocket computer are extremely underwhelming.
The thing that makes G-LYNX not op is 2S38
That's the most op heli in game just sittig 8 km from battle while being untouchable

Nice to see the VFM5 get some use - After the recent BR changes I think it's a lot more usable than before (and Britain actually has a 9.3 lineup for it to go in now). Definitely worth a new video I think.

justin thinking an ozelot can lock onto a helo from further thn 3 inches away is pretty interesting, when im in my ozelot i need to be inside of a helicopter to actually get a lock
while i get killed by the ozelot in my mig27m with the engine TURNED OFF and it was raining.
The engine was below 40c and it was head-on.
that ozelot locked on me and shot me down anyways, ignored flare while doing it too.

Finally, this THING has been haunting me ever since I got the C2A1 MEXAS back in 2020, but from experience it been like decades.
I think the A129CBT is the true broken 10.0 heli, i had so much fun in it, but the G-LYNX is also very effective at both grinding and kicking asses
If you look at the event vehicles after they are modified, by the coupon that lets you sell them, it says you also get backups for them. Might be they do or it might be a bug, I haven't consumed mine since I might sell them.
I thought this was gonna be a vfm5 video since I was in the game on carpathians with you. You were going crazy and saved my ass in the 2s38 on the hill by A alot lmao
Yeah the only time I've been able to get a lock past 3.8km with ir is if the aircraft is on fire which I'm with you in cold it should be able to pick up the heat at greater distance

@JustinPlays the Tech tree LYNX is super slow and can barely take off with full weaponry you have to wait 5 seconds til it lifts up from the ground the first Centimeter
Also the Italian Hellfire 10.0 Augusta helicopter and around hundreds of other Vehicles are misplaced in BR following that logic
I love the G-Lynx. Back in the day without the 2S38 it was even better. Now you have to look out for the occasional proxy fuse grenade flying your way...
I like the 10.0/10.3 lineup of the brits anyway and would love to see more of it.

Botting 2S38's killing at 5km was getting annoying.
I mean I use it at 10.3. UK has a great 10.3 lineup with 3 Challangers (including the DS), the Vickers MK.7, the TTD, the Stormer, the Jaguar GR1A and the Harrier GR3. It should easily be 10.3 just like the severely undertiered Mi-28A in the Swedish tech tree.

The Chally 1's avoid the mobility bug that the Challenger 2s have, my report recently got passed to the devs so hopefully in a few decades it will get fixed

Got a solid 6 K/D in this thing, had hundreds of battle in it when the Vickers Mk7 and Challenger Mk.3 was 10.0

It wont matter if Gaijin gives backups to event vehicles, most people just rush in, die without doing jack, and bail. Whenever i see the event ground nation in my team i wait a few seconds to spawn to count how many of those are spawning, most of the time i just bail the battle without even spawning, i dont want to deal with the frustration of 1 spawners who dont contribute at all in a team game.
On the other subject, i got the FlakRak PZ1 with Roland missiles and somehow managed to unlock the Roland 3 missiles, those Rolands and other similar missiles are practically unusable after the missile guidance "rework" patch a few weeks ago, so i ditched it and went back to the Gepard 1A2 (keep in mind this SPAA is 8 months deep on a bug wich causes it to not be able to equip the K proxi variant of the Stingers, so its stuck with the stock E contact variant). CAS is strongly uncontested because of the latest game mechanic modifications and the 6+ km Guided bombs, specially above 9.7 BR. Not to mention the reduced lock on range on helis (up to 3 km in best case scenario, and in worse case you cant even lock within 2 km range). Its just not worth to respawn with so many uncontested air threats in the session.
this is by far the best helicopter ive bought, so fun to play due its br, can be compared with the swedesh mi28 which is pretty fun to play too, cant say the same to the ka50 and the rooivalk that gets destroyed by an spaa at the time you spawn in
I had a game last night where I died 4 times to the same g-lynx, 3 times in tanks and it hit me with a stinger in my mig.
The G-lynx has 0 to no armor. The Tiger can take a punch.
I’m glad this thing sits at 10BR. Britain deserve nice vehicles tbh, and there aren’t that many in the TT anymore.. sadly. Everything has been shafted, even the 7BR lineups.
I love using the glynx in a full downtier no anti air reaches you I've gotten 3 nukes with it
Also laser warning can proc from team m8s or lazer range finders so hard to tell it is a missle or something look in your direction
This reminds me of being spawn camped by G-Lynxs in several games when playing German 9.3 with them sitting too far for my best aa to engage
You're forgetting the fact that the Tiger also has Hellfire 2's compared to the G-Lynx's normal hellfires.
The hellfire 2's are quite a bit more reliable from my own experiences and like to overpressure more due to an extra 1.4 KG of TNT.

Justin, Britain desrves somethig nice. We're shafted so often with overtiered vehicles, underperforming Sabot, Zero High tier light tanks, all of our good vehicles going to other nations or are an event vehicle. We deserve this, no, we need this.

the reason they are 10.0 is becuse of terrible optics and hellfire Bs being situational in certain maps unlike atakas. Also, hellfire Bs aren't tandem unlike 11.0 Ks so damage can be a bit wonky at times.

We ran 4 of these in SRB with 4 tanks and won 28 games out of 30 played at 10.0.G-Lynx and HAP are cracked.

I love going against a heli with 8km range in my Gepard 1a2 that has a range of less than 4km
I actually using the tech three version of the Lynx and even with the stock weapons you can kill a lot of things. You just have to play skilled and have luck with anti airs.
This thing needs to be a 11.7 easy. The only thing that can counter this is the FlakRad on the german tech tree with the best missile. And having to manually guide a missile to something over 8km away before you're nailed with fire and forget missile is just stupid to even comprehend.
The VFM and XM-8 look like modern Stuart tanks
America: gets Mighty Mouse rockets for their first heli, meaning you need to grind the next one to get ATGMS. Germany: hehehee ATGM go boom
Yea if you actually look on the specs the US is faster , can take more punishment and has lower br . You just have skill issue

The only thing the VFM5 needs is to lost its fixed sight, I love playing it but you have to be in people's faces a lot of the times which isn't a very viable strategy.
Even a cursory look at the difference with the G-lynx will tell you it’s much faster than the original lynx…
But it was the fastest chopper on the planet for a time at least.
The Swedish missile AA is perfect for a counter

if you’re using a heli with hellfires i suggest firing them one after the other to make flight time between targets shorter
That used to be somewhat viable, but due to the changes on how ATGMs fly, it's not nearly as good. And with 8 missiles, I find it best to use them one at a time.
@@JustinPlaysTV when i fly my z-10 i find it’s usually worth it. usually i try to climb up, get as many kills as possible, then dive and re arm.
having missiles up in the air is helpful if someone spawns a sam and you want to try to “missile joust” them so to speak, since you can duck behind cover while the hell fire is still going towards the target, and re lock once the timer gets to like 5-7 seconds.
when it comes to tanks with lws i’d also recommend putting the laser right next to their tank and then putting it on target right before the missile hits the ground, so they have no time to react.
G-LYNX doesn't have a ballistic computer for unguided missiles and gun. That's my only heli and got 200+ matches. It's mid at heli EC, performs good at 10.0 but that doesn't mean it should go up tbh. That BR fits good for it.
Brit 10.0/10.3 lineup is just powerful. Every nation should have one good lineup at least.
The G-Lynx and normal Lynx are absolutely awesome. Maybe they should be .3br higher but none really plays britain so it doesnt matter.
Really funny to me that this thing is 10.0 still but the Swedish Mi-28A is 10.3
to balance CAS they could do something like battlefield died where they limit CAS spawns but that would kinda suck tbh

I'm an ex-AH-64D pilot and play far too much war thunder and retreating blade stalls (going too fast in a helicopter causing a dissymmetry of lift on the rotor system) actually results in a pitch up and usually to the left and is therefore self correcting. In war thunder for some reason it results in you pitching down and usually crashing at low alt, it's annoying, particularly in the G-lynx where it happens too early
I like the aspect of CAS but hate the balance of it. Especially with light tanks earning more SP and reducing SP cost with scouts even though CAS is already dirt cheap to spawn it is just too easy to obtain for it to be balanced.
The hellfrires have been in the near past come unlocked for me if it has to fly for a long period a lil more than 25 seconds it just automatically would come unlocked. Has anyone else had this problem in the recent past? Nothing gets in the way of the enemy and its path it would just have a clear path to the enemy and out of nowhere it unlocks and I just sit and watch and do not press any other key while it is in the path.
I’ve had random unlocks myself. A few even caused a miss because it was so close to impact

Lynx is the equivalent of a UHIY... light armour, light manoeuvrability and cant multitask in actual engagement, So it should not be compared to traditional attack choppers and should be compared to late UH1Y's, Also it's Hellfire's are not the later variants. The Tiger can multitask, is more manoeuvrable, has a bit more armour and it's TOWS are the later variants, also it has gimbled Guns.
Also if there is no appeal to Helicopters... no Brit or UK tree user will bother grinding them... let alone using them... just like real life. Hence why you never see tech tree users... the grind is boring and the rewards are meh, 99% of UK tree users have not bothered going past the first heli, hence why gaijin has allowed ground research to be used, because the users would bother with ground, air and sea before heli's. Britain hardly used/uses Attack choppers IRL and used CAS Harriers instead until after 2000... even then UK would use fast CAS over a Heli.
I don't think backups will solve any problem. Because if I die instantly I'm not gonna spawn again. I'm just gonna leave and go next. And backups will not solve that.
Damn i was that mig27m that got blown out of the sky by the Z9 with TY90s. I was just about to perform the Kvochurs bell in front of you but then the Z9 decided to look my way and that was it for my plan🥲
Wtf?! The lynx has been double nerfed. Gunner zoom was crippled, as was the targeting square. It's waaaaaaay less effective than before.

I love my British 10.3 lineup with ds Glynx to add silver lion boost and I ain't completed line up yet. Also Its rare too see people playing British top tier. Getting from 4.7 to 7.3 is so hard

Honestly I don't hate fighting the G-lynx I hope it go up in br to fight better spaa that can actually deal with it because I hate being in a ozelot or pgz04a and this thing is out of my range

I find it funny the app he tells you about to get golden eagles yes you can earn golden eagles but he forgets to mention in every video that it only works for PC and not console
The helicopter i hate the most after the Z-9W to fight
This and Z-9W aren't comparable, without the TY-90's the Z-9W is like 8.3-8.7 max.
