Maybe "Re-reading the card depresses the player" is more accurate
All instant speed "Gift a Card" cards can counter Thassa's Oracle decks.
Just gift a card while the Thassa's Oracle trigger is on the stack, while they have an empty library.
Edit: Also, Sunspire Lynx beats the One Ring. Protection prevents damage, but damage can't be prevented. They play the one ring thinking they're safe. You play the lynx bonk them for damage, and then swing all you're creatures.

Schmedium Red could also be called German Red, since that's traditionally been how RDW is built in Eurolander

Did the gang miss that Valiant only triggers once per turn, unlike Heroic? So it's not strictly better, it's different, and you're better off triggering it with actually meaningful equipments rather than Shuko.
1:17:00 There are three other two-drops with prowess and haste. Stormchaser Mage and Stormcatch Mentor (also from Bloomburrow), which are blue-red, and Fugitive Codebreaker, which is a 2/1 with disguise that can refill your hand when you flip it face up.
So there are 7 Racks at 3 or less, 2 of which suck.
The Rack, Shrieking Affliction, Storm World, Bandit's Talent, Davriel Rogue Shadowmage, Pauper's Cage, and Wheel of Torture.
Also there are more lizards now since all the viashinos are now lizards so your Viashino Pyromancer procs Hired Claw.
Surprised Kitsa didn't get a mention, being a looter with vigilance, that also can copy your second spell (provided they're a non-creature and an instant/sorcery)
They were willing to mention Megrim, which goes triggers off opponent discarding, not off opponent having a certain handsize. So, Waste Not should at least get an honorary mention.
Can we include Quest for the Nihil Stone to round it out to 8?
Yeah if you add Quest for the Nihil Stone and Liliana's Caress you can get to 8 racks without even playing the terribad ones
There's also Nezumi Shortfang, kinda. It's not good though.
Serge is keeping an eye on Elementals as a thing.
Wheeler has said that Temur is an under-performing and/or under-explored color/archetype.
He's said something similar about Twin/Kiki-Jiki. I'm hoping there might be something there...at least in the near future
next April is Return to Tarkir... buuuut kind of 50/50 on that being Wedge support cause in-canon the Clans never existed rn

They mentioned Flying Men, but didn't talk about Beast Binder, which feels like it belongs even though it basically has skulk instead of flying. It also works as a second version of Warkite Marauder for the deck.
Iridescent Vinelasher is a little overlooked, only because if you offspring it, a fetch into a shock actually leaves you up 1 life on your opponent, and you dont /need/ to get a shock. Its not a win conditions (although Nelly's scapeshift is a fun thing there), its rather a bit of value off of doing what your deck already wants to do

Fun infinite with Hazel's Brewmaster for the Food deck: have Sam, Loyal Attendant on the battlefield and exile Pippin, Warden of Isengard. That'll give all your foods 0, T: Create a Food Token
I think that "Gift a tapped fish" is my new favorite magic ability, not because it is good, I just like how it sounds

Rottenmouth Viper will have 2 blight counters on its first swing, not 1. You get the effect when it attacks AND when it enters. So after it attacks the first time, it will have blighted them 3 times already.
I do think it's interesting that the vinelasher does 2 damage per land with the offspring cost. It's 100% true that once you have fastbond out it just doesn't matter anymore but I like the idea that you could be pinging yourself for 1 damage with an oboro and fast bond while hitting your opponent for 2 damage and burning them out without having to find your courser of kruphix or glacial chasm. 1 mana is also *really* cheap if you do have your glacial chasm in the nut draws.
Iridescent vinelasher with offspring means they lose 2 life while you only lose 1 with fastbond and has sneaky ancient tomb mana. So you don't need an infinite life outlet with the wasteland loops you just need to have more than 1/2 the life your opponent has. Also it can come out turn 3 with offspring then play a fetch land and that's 4 dmg so I don't think it's out of the realm of aggro.

I think Landfall is a bit of a trap on Vinelasher. Sure, it can go into a lands/landfall matters type deck but it's just adding another win-more option rather than contributing to any kind of engine. Instead, I think the important points are:
1. it's an Assassin, which is part of the Outlaw type group
2. it commits a crime by targeting
3. it's dealing damage to an opponent, which a lot of other BLB Lizards care about
4. it's a Lizard dealing damage, which a small handful of other BLB Lizards care about
I feel like WotC wants Rakdos Outlaws to be a thing, so this might be meant for that deck.

At 33:58 they were tlaking about effects that gove hexproof at instant speed and Saiba Cryptomancer does from MOM! Its backup ability gives another creature hexproof. I dunno if its worth playing in canadian highlander though lol

One important balance thing about the Channeler is the death trigger doesn't work with Teysa or Drivnod because the 2nd trigger doesn't see any counters.
Jackdaw Saviours nickname has to be Flaptrawler right?
My theory: Fell was 1 mana during initial design, but they nerfed it because it would have been too strong for Standard. That would explain why it looks so weird right next to Feed the Cycle in this set.
I have the feeling neither Nelly nor Serge actually understood what Mockingbird does, given their focus on cloning tokens.
So many good red cards in this set! I’m a gladiator RDW player so I’m still on Spitties, and i was pumped when I saw Hired Claw. And it beats Thalia in combat (one of my opponents at the prerelease had the 2-drop first strike lifelink and he couldn’t ever block with it)
the resto bird might have a few more playable synergies that the guys missed. Nadu, Deveri and the birds they mentioned sounds like there might be a blink deck in either bant or sans red that might like the package
not to mention the pretty good birds that got printed in BLB
Surprised they didn't mention Ledger Shredder, especially since that seems to appear in so many N100 Showdown games.
I might try Fell in The Rock b/c you're not *that* concerned about tapping out on your own turn and dorks make it easier to double spell your Fell turn.

Bruh, rottenmouth viper is even better than what you guys were talking about. It's an enters trigger as well, and the effect goes off for each counter on it! For example, if you were to give it haste somehow, that's 3 ability repetitions. Discard/sac 3 things or take if unblocked 18 damage in one turn
I know it's the newest Showdown but can we get a run back of Flying Men v FOOD FIGHT´the seems to have come a lot of new tech for both decks.
Byway Barterer seems so good on a spellsplinger burn deck. Just cast, draw constantly.

Obviously the deck it typically base naya, but ignoring the color, iridescent vinelasher feels great in domain zoo. Maybe not good enough to try to reliably hit black, but enough to consider at least.
I am surprised Dour-port Mage didn't have any mention of Ninjas in its discussion.
I personally loved Warren Warleader and think it’s a pretty powerful attack trigger, but I’m not sure how it will play in constructed formats.
Salvation Swan on Omnitiative seems nice, since most of the initiative guys don't fly
I feel you've missed Azure Beastbinder. The card is absurd and has the ability to shut off an opponent's deck.
They have a big threat? Nah, 2/2
Their equipment is going to be a nuisance? Nah, no abilities
Their PW is going to ult? Nah, no abilities
They only have 1 key piece (sac outlet, drain, etc)? Nah, 2/2 that does nothing until my turn.
Want to block and kill it? Good luck, can't be blocked by 2 or greater
To me, this card would make a whole new Mono Blue ruin your evening deck

Until we see the rules text we can't be certain, but the lack of "target" is notable.

I don't think Yaoi is exclusive to twinks. There's also the term "Yaoi Hands" referring to a particular, old at this point, art trend in those works of tall, lanky men with absurdly proportioned hands.

But can we please stop saying you get 5 paw prints to spend? This choice of language is going to cause problems down the line. Paw prints aren’t a resource that you gain, they are a value assigned to modes. You don’t spend anything, you choose up to five worth of them and they happen in order from top to bottom.
I know it seems pedantic but Magic rules are worded very specifically for a reason. You add mana. You get energy counters. Those you can spend. There is no paw print pool or counter.
Can we please not confuse people by describing the Seasons working differently than they actually do?
