The similarities to classic Blind Guardian are clear, but there is more to it than that. I hear tinges of RAGE, i hear a bit of ANGRA thrown in with the timbre of the acoustic passages. There is also something distinct and all of their own. I appreciate the poetic tinge to some of the lyrics. I like how they mix it up with the style of their 'breakdown' or 'payoff' riffs. It is reminiscent of Warlord, Slough Feg, or more recently Riot City, in that they are not afraid to slow the tempo down for a big groove laden anthemic riff.

It´s like a more upbeat version of Blind Guardian...things I didn´t know I needed.
very nice,I love the songs ides and the thinking around it. NOW the name.... it has to be a joke around the guys in the band i think :) That need to change. My ide of a name would be SORDID then the logo with the sword will work. Rock on i like this.

New Blind Guardian!!!!
This is pretty cool - just don't like the electric drum sounds though... or however the drums are recorded or mixed or something.
I loved the full drum onslaught characterized by the double kick bass when I first noticed it on Riot's "Thundersteel" album. Since then it seems to have become a hallmark of speed and power metal. Frankly, I'm getting a bit tired of it and more appreciative of a novel approach to percussion over speed and continuity. The space between the beats counts for something, too.

Nowadays it's very difficult sounds like original... heavy metal is extremely explorated.
No es ninguna idea; cientos de bandas se parecen a otras simplemente porque gustan de su estilo y son inspiraciones. Muchos de los coros de Blind Guardian eran claras reminiscencias a Queen, y solo era así porque era una de sus inspiraciones; Airbourne por ejemplo, es igual a AC/DC y nadie dice son una copia, solo los llaman los nuevos AC/DC. Digamos que solo son gustos y apreciaciones personales. Además, si nos ponemos puristas, Blind Guardian dejo de ser lo que era hasta el Nightfall; después monotonía de discos muy grandilocuentes en coros, pero faltos de alma clásica; unos álbumes mejores que otros pero nunca superando su época primigenia. Grande Blind Guardian y esta banda igual.
