congratssss❤️!!! do you have any advice when it comes down to the college process & how you were able to write a good personal essay?
Thank you! I was actually required by my school to start writing my essay junior year, so by the time senior year came it was written and I was just revising it. As far as the contents of it I would highly recommend finding a means of comparison to communicate something meaningful about yourself. (A strong metaphor) In my essay I wrote about combatting stereotypes as a black woman but I formatted it as if it were a court case where I was defending myself against the stereotypes and providing examples of how they’re false. I had a 4.0 UW, my school doesn’t do weighted GPA’s or ranks. All of my courses were college prep except my math courses which were accelerated. I had one AP, which was calculus. Lots of service hours and I did competition cheer, student ambassadors, internships, and I’ve had jobs and participated in summer programs.

What was your applied major?
do you believe AP Scores matter? Did you submit 4s or 5s to your schools?
I would say no but to a certain extent. I only took AP Calculus AB and I take that test in a few days. None of my schools received any AP scores from me.
