It's tough to watch Seinfield again after Michael Richards' nonsense years ago.
@@WatchMojo Most Nickelodeon shows involving Dan Schneider, from All That to Drake & Josh. In a lot of ways, he’s worse than Harvey Weinstein, especially when he preys on kids.
I had trouble rewatching Loki because of Jonathan Majors.

* The Ren & Stimpy Show (1991-96) - The show's creator John Kricfalusi was involve in a toxic work environment and sexual abuse.
* Two and a Half Man (2003-15) - Charlie Sheen was let go from the show after drug usage and criticizing Chuck Lorre.

*Home Improvement (1991-1999)-Zachery Ty Bryan, who played the oldest son, was arrested in October 2020 at the height of COVID for attempting to strangle his fiancee & taking her iPhone when she tried to call police.

Jessie-as much I liked the show, so much about it holds it back from being a great show, let alone easy to come back to. Pamela Eells O’Connell’s tired stereotypical and mean spirited humor inbetween the actually funny jokes, Skai Jackson’s awful attitude including feuding with Debby Ryan and Cameron Boyce’s tragic death which was the first time a Disney star died during the production of a Disney Channel project which was Descendants 3. I wanted to also say Andi Mack and I Didn’t Do It, as they both had one major cast member in a sexual harassment case. But I think Jessie is the most controversial show in this conversation.
Smallville - Allison Mack went to prison for sex trafficking.
Add The Loud House too since the show creator Chris Savino was involve in various sexual harassment! And also add Julia Vickerman (the creator of Twelve Forever) and Kyle A. Carrozza (the creator of Mighty Magiswords).
I would say Glee. Mark Salling was found to have child pornography and then died by suicide. Also, there have been a lot of stories accusing Lea Michele of horrible behavior.
The fact that two other main actors also died (Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith) makes it difficult to watch in a different way.
Yeah there's a whole docuseries covering it and how it's almost like Glee is basically cursed

The Glee example is so sad, it's hard to even watch the Community parody episodes (For context, either the Glee club has a mental breakdown when they don't get into regionals or die in a mysterious bus accident).

True. They did briefly allow the show into syndication, but it was pulled when people understandably couldn’t separate the art and the artist.

They kind of combined Buffy with Angel here, but I would say Angel is the show that has been more ruined than Buffy. With Angel, you can actually watch in real time as Joss Whedon dedicates an entire season of the show to harassing Charisma Carpenter and destroying her character that the audience had spent 7 years getting to know. It was absolutely absurd
Go look it up, she actually fought and caught a serial rapist when she was just trying to break it into Hollywood.

Fresh off the Boat should get a mention. It’s the first show to feature an Asian American family as its protagonists and won a lot of awards. Unfortunately, former co-star Constance Wu revealed in 2022 that she was constantly harassed by its producer.

Easier said than done for some people, unfortunately...
That would be easier if, for example, it hadn’t been called the COSBY show. I get he played Heathcliff Huxtable, but the title of the show implied that the character was a real, if idealized, representation of the man himself.
@@Dave-ms3ri he literally built that show around his own family. Cosby had 4 daughters and 1 son in real life. He built that show around comedy routines he used to tell about his family. And there are a LOT of stories that revolve around intimacy for both him and his wife and his children as they are going through their high school and college years. Not only that it's a well know fact that actors that crossed Bill Cosby got fired off that show and off of A Different World (it's spin off) which says a lot about the kind of power he had over everybody involved in both shows.
What makes me mad about most of these cases is when people say that person didn’t treat THEM bad. Abusers take advantage of a select people they think they can get away with. Thanks to the Me Too Movement, abusers are seeing they aren’t too big to fail. And abuse isn’t just physical, it can be mental, emotional, verbal, etc.

It’s really hard watching some of these shows again with the awareness of the controversy behind the actors and the show in general.
In other words, we can't separate the art from the artist.
I think The Cosby show was a good moral show even if the Host was found guilty, The morals still stand, something that lacks in todays shows.
I still stand by Rick and Morty and Roseanne, out of this entire list, they're just too relatable for me to throw away like expored food from the fridge.
Multiple people accused Justin of being a creep and by the 2nd or 3rd season he was barely involved in the writing, he just goofed off and phoned in his voice roles, he was very difficult to work with.

For me it's Smallville, loved that show in spite of the drop in quality during the final seasons. But I've tried several times to rematch it, and the thought that one of my Favourite characters was secretly a monster has tarnished it

@@L4pa100 The documentary went into detail about Dan Schneider and how he interacted with his young actors. It basically said he was sexualizing the girls and other accusations. Quiet on Set makes you feel bitter at the end.

I have no trouble returning to any show that has a scandal as long as I enjoy the show.

I appreciate the premise of this video, but RUINED is too strong a word. Most of the shows ended before the actors bad deeds were exposed. There weren't millions of people watching The Cosby Show reruns in 2014, only to boycott the show when the sexual assault charges were brought out; the show ended decades ago. I didn't see any headlines saying "That 70's Show ratings crashed after charges filed against Masterson"; the show ended years before.

I watched several of the shows before their controversies. I continue to watch them now. Why would I allow the real word behavior of an actor affect my perception of a fictional character they portrayed?
On some shows it is easy to do it, however when the show has them as an exaggerated version of themselves it's when it becomes harder to do so.

Empire was such a great show; Taraj and Terrance were so good together. Jesse had to mess things up by lying about his attack but thanks to him people are now hesitating to make a report of them being attacked
Nobody’s perfect. Everyone has a bag of hair in their closet. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that this “angel” on TV is a monster in real life. But you better believe that your on screen sweetheart is actually an actor. I still watch the cosby show when I can.
I am shocked to hear that about BUFFY but if it came on today, or if it was available on one of the streaming apps I have, I would still watch it

Two issues: Empire was halfway through its last season, so Jussie didn’t affect it, and the Cosby Show is Iconic: We separate Heathcliffe Huxtable from Bill Cosby. Plus it’s still being rerun on a number of networks today…….🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
I thought you had to have evidence in sexual assault cases. I don't feel comfortable with people remaining silent for decades and then coming forward and the court goes on testimony only.
Most sexual assault cases don't get reported because how traumatizing it is. Guess who actual report sexual assaults less? Men.
think of it this way kimberly, if say one of your friends were to babysit your kids, but you find out that they're accused of assaulting a 10 year old girl, would you wait for it to go to court for a verdict and let them keep watching your children alone?
The Answer to that is almost certainly no. evidence is for the court room; what people do or don't do in the wake of allegations is unrelated to that.
Only people who cant separate the art from the artists would let themselves be ruined by shows

It's difficult to return to The Cosby Show. I literally grew up on listening to and watching Bill Cosby's comedy.
You realize some of these are people getting canceled for saying something mean? If someone your working with is yelling at you or insulting you, you either call them a douche and walk away or you hit them in the privates then call them a--hole then walk away. Memorable characters and actors being tarneshed by actual scandals like sexually abusing others or being discovered as pedo's, that is something serious.
The Goldbergs should have been on because of Jeff Garlin’s confrontation with Human Resources while filming
Or what about the animated shows like ren and stimpy, loud house, Clarence, twelve forever and retcely mighti mgiswords with their creators going through a lot of controversy
Two and a Half Men. The feud between Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen ruined this show and resulted in one of the worst series finales ever.
Jeffrey Tambor’s abuse of Jessica Walter is a bitter pill to swallow, and seeing the two on screen together is even harder to stomach, so I’ll never see _Arrested Development_ in the same light.

I don’t agree with Buffy being on the list. The toxicity surrounding Joss Whedon has done nothing to ruin the legacy of the show that I am aware of. If anything, it has strengthened the love for the female cast.

Australian sitcom from the late 80s/early 90s. Years later, it was revealed that the Dad was molesting the actress who played his youngest daughter.
I won't allow Buffy to be ruined in my mind Joss Whedon did wrong but the excellent performances by the cast shouldn't be flushed down the toilet with him. A lot of people worked hard on that show not just Whedon.
Smallville for dishonorable mention. It's hard to go back and watch the show given to Allison Mack being apart of a sex cult during that time. The number of women that were hurt because of her.

Just because an actor years later went down for something doesn't mean the show itself is marred... The actor is, not the show.
Sure if it happened while the show was still filming then, yeah I could see it being marred...
Not a single one of these is ruined for me. I don't know where the idea comes from that because somebody on a show did something bad in real life that you can no longer enjoy that particular work. It's not too hard for me to separate the art from the artist. Unless the work itself promotes whatever horrible thing they did in real life, then I'll continue to watch it with no qualms whatsoever.
It's sad that Bill Cosby turned to the dark side like that. Now I fear nobody will want to watch the cartoons Fat Albert and Little Bill ever again.

An older example Hogan's heroes clouds of mystery and scandal over the death of Bob Crane changed the point of view...worse later views about WWII made the show seem insensitive (Despite both actors portraying nazis being Jewish)
The actors who played Klink, Hochstetter, Burrkholter and Schultz were all Jewish and all WWII veterans. Robert Clary was a French Jewish actor who survived the holocaust, and lost 10 siblings there. That is why the show was not considered offensive. If these actors thought it was okay, chances are it was not offensive.

When it comes to Rapp being an actor he should have changed his name to Crapp because the work I've seen him do is just that. It would appear he was hired for one of the worst Star Trek shows so production could check off the gay box.
Cosby is the one that hurts. I grew up on his comedy and the TV show I Spy and also loved The Cosby Show.
I met Jeffrey Tambor many years ago when he was on location during filming. He stayed at a hotel where I used to work. He was nice at first but after a month, I came to know him as a condescending ass! Great actor but I am not surprised at the behavior.
FYI: The only episodes that Roiland "Wrote" were the intergalactic cable episodes, and other mostly improvised episodes

In addition to The Cosby Show, Bill has ruined any chance pf anyone ever seeing I Spy again. He and Robert Culp were the epitome of cool. The show was groundbreaking, with bi-racial leads, witty dialogue and exotic location settings. Your examples are all well and good, but the world existed before the year 2000, guys.

It's sad that it wasn't on here. That means that there's so many shows that were ruined by controversy that they can't all fit on a top 10 list.
I dont mean to be a jerk. But thats what you get for having an ensemble cast. Odds are 2 Broke Girls will never get ruined.
