Does she feel threatened by his opening statement? That is so unprofessional for her to interrupt his opening statement. He didn’t do that to her
This is the most ridiculous case I’ve ever heard of… He’s an actor on a set that was handed a gun for a scene… Now he’s being charged with manslaughter? What am I missing??
You are missing that people have been killed with guns on movie sets before. You are missing that the camera crew left, one reason being safety concerns. You are missing knowing about a case in Mexico when one actor shot another with live bullets, he was charged with murder. It is involuntary manslaughter because of Alex Baldwins, ridiculous behavior on a site with real guns.
Not guilty. He relied on the rest of the crew to do their job & they didn’t. He is innocent.
He pulled the trigger, no one but him. He pointed it at Mrs Hutchin, nobody but him. The golden rule of gun safety has everything to do with the person holding the gun...assume it is loaded..do not point it at people.
It's his god damn set. He hired an inexperienced idiot and cut corners on safety measures.... oh , oh and also literally killed someone. He's not innocent. He's negligent $$hole.
@@GRMLS5 but his job literally required him to do so
@@GRMLS5 he is an actor the ones to blame are the ones who misdid their job and gave an actor a live gun whilst knowing that it was to be a prop gun used for a scene.
@@mosthated127 being an actor does not excuse you from common sense...never ever point a gun, a real gun at anyone. He was not supposed to put his finger on the trigger, he did not start acting yesterday, and he knows that safety equipment must be in place if he is pointing a gun in the direction of the camera crew. If he had stuck to the directions for the session and did not ask for a real gun, no accident would have happened and the slob his production hired, to save money, may have discovered the live rounds and cleaned up the site...three people killed Mrs Hutchins.
As a former armorer, my job was to ensure safety & that the weapons & ammo I distributed would work properly. This is opposite. Not Alec’s fault. Yet it isn’t the armorer’s fault. She wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between live ammo & not. It is a low budget movie fault. Using a gun with live rounds interchangeably as a prop gun. Someone is trouble, and it isn’t Alec, nor the armorer. It is those responsible for supplying the props & getting that mixed up.
If you cannot discern what is live ammo or not then you should not be calling yourself an armorer
I bet he'll walk no doubt
They should bring in an interpreter for his Spanish wife.
I think it’s so dumb they’re even doing this is the first place. Obviously he didn’t mean to do it. Pure Accident. Period. Not Guilty!!!!
K so a producer being cheap while also being the main character of his own movie, shooting the director he hired is not manslaighter? What if you run a red light and kill someone? Are you innocent dumbass? Use youre brain libtard.
He is not killed he was just doing a scene in a movie, he is not guilty of murder.
He hasn't been charged with murder.
He was just doing a scene where someone ended up dead.
What about those who walked off saying it was Unsafe.
The only thing he is guilty of is being a producer who approved the prop master and armorer, relying on hearsay regarding the capabilities and previous training. The inability and lack of expertise as an armorer, to do her job safely is what the focus should be. Of course he pulled the trigger. It was part of his character. She and inly she is responsible.
Yeah, I thought this would be part of the prosecution's case. They seem entirely focused on his direct handling of the firearm and not at all interested in arguing that he had overall responsibility for who was hired and the overall safety culture (or lack of) on set. So either that's not a legally valid argument, or he wasn't actually as responsible for what went on as he's generally thought to be.
@@Orion3T The judge ruled that his role as a producer was "not relevant" in this case. So any argument or evidence of his role as a producer has to be excluded.
Thanks for the update!
What is the best way to make money from crypto investment as crypto is turning around massively.?
I think all you need is an expert assigned by a brokerage company that will trade for you and handle your capital professionally and give you weekly returns of investment without any extra fees attached
Elizabeth Arden as my t'rader. Her ability and produce big pro.fits,in my opinion is excellent
To be honest I invested as low as $10,000 because I was skeptical initially. Recieving my profit weekly without any attached fees gave me more confidence to reinvest
Goodness gracious I'm so excited seeing Elizabeth Arden been mentioned here also. Didn't know she has been good to other people too, this is wonderful because I also started with a CZcams referral like this.
Kelly... you're such a crybaby! Now you are acting just like Hannah's attorney!! Calling for Bar when Defense goes way over your head! Sara Zachary should have never been let go. She threw away more real bullets. I think this was a set up of some kind, for some reason.
Oh and Kelly, you should have the attorney that gave opening to get some lessons on how to give sn opening. Worst Ive ever heard!! Lost me 10 minutes in with all the, "you will find, you will see, you will learn..." Awful!
This is a ridiculous charge
That prosecutor is so unprofessional. I cannot believe how many times she interrupts his opening statement.
Thank God this was thrown out.
He was a producer on the movie also so, the line that he was just doing his job as an actor nothing more should not wash. He went cheap and this was the deadly result of that. Even if that can't be a legal argument, he still did not check his gun himself and he was the one who fired it. He's guilty of manslaughter.
For all the people saying "not guilty" because it was an accident. That's literally the definition of involuntary manslaughter! Also when a driver hits and kills a pedestrian they usually end up going to jail even though it was an "accident". How is this any different?
😂🤡
Involuntary manslaughter is the unintentional killing of another person while committing a negligent or unlawful act. Prosecution needs to prove that the defendant's actions were reckless and that they should have known they could cause bodily harm or death. Keywords here: "reckless" "negligent." If he would've brought his own gun and loaded it himself then that's another story, but someone handed it to him, an actor; he was under no obligation or reasonably expected to check the gun to make sure it was safe because he BELIEVED it was safe. Therefore, he was definitely not being negligent, and he was absolutely not committing an unlawful act.
Believe me, I watch a lot of Law & Order and I shared a cab with a guy that explained the whole thing to me just a few hours ago. He said he was a lawyer.
He was given a weapon loaded with a live round. He was unassuming. He should be fully exonerated. Yes it was an accident, but he wasn’t the cause when the weapon handed to him was loaded with live round handled by someone assigned to he responsible.
@@Joey-wx9xvthis wasn’t an unlawful or negligent action.
Wow are we star struck usually there is one court tv lawyer at each trial not this one there are already 3 in New Mexico and vinney said he was heading up there next week what is going on lol
It’s the armorer’s fault. Period, end of story.
this is a waste of New mexico's time, money and resources. Alec didn't do anything wrong. but I can guarantee you actors will be checking from now on
This is a tragedy for the industry. My heart goes out to the family that lost their loved one.
I don't feel he's responsible!!!
Love this lawyer!
Something called , what goes around comes around, karma
He should uncross his arms. That's not good body language for a defendant.
He's an arrogant man
THIS TRIAL ,COURT, HEARING, ETC..... SEEMS VERY UNORGANIZED, WEIRD IF I WILL SAY, IDK WHAT IS GOING ON HERE, BALDWIN IS ACTUALLY BEHAVING ARROGANT, LIKE HE IS ALLOWED TO COMMITT MURDER
No excuse, he wasnt wounded and on the run, hes not blee ing.
He should've hired Ben Chew!!!
Ok, so if "actors" are exempt from liability when someone is shot and killed on the set, then I guess every single actor and actress better be careful with who is pointing that gun at them. Maybe they will put a live round in if they want to oust you and get away with it. Pathetic. Actors and actresses you have been warned of what could happen if someone wants to get rid of you on the set.
@@5GreenAcres the safety of the cast and crew is the job of the armorer Alec Baldwin should have followed directions better but safety on the set is not the actor’s responsibility, what’s with the implied threat?
@@Mammothsaber-4457 There was absolutely NO implied threat. What I was saying is: What will stop some corrupt person who is jealous or mad at a co worker and put a live round in and then only the armorer will get blamed? That is wrong. Only in Hollywood elite are exempt. Sickening. To me it seems like a license to kill.
That's a ridiculous argument. The person who put the bullet into the gun in this case was identified and convicted. If an actor put a live round into the gun to off their colleague, they would be equally guilty. That's not remotely what happened here and the prosecution even agrees it was unintentional hence the charge. And bigger picture, there are literally millions of jobs where you could deliberately kill someone and try to make it look like an accident. People who work together in such jobs put their trust in each other all the time.
@@Orion3T It isn't a "rediculous" argument. There is much corruption in hellywood. Other "professions" don't have a free ticket that only the armorer is responsible. It would be easy to make the no name the scapegoat.
There have been 43 fatalities on American film sets since 1990, and that's from any type of injury, not just involving guns. So obviously people aren't going around film sets using "acting" as some sort of cover to commit open murder. That's just ridiculous. As with any job, there are policies and safeguards in place, but accidents do happen.
Sick ❤❤
The glasses🤓 and short hair, 🤣
AB has had some work done.
he is guilty
OH LORD COURSE YOU DO. Deep down you hate him bc you’re Extremely Envious and Jealous. That’s the only reason. Hopefully you live a lonely and sad life
Wasnt a prop.
They call it a prop even if it is a real gun.
His lawyer needs to do better reviewing of his questioning if they are anything close to his horrendous his opening.
Guess Rust is a bust then?
Yep, Baldwin is at full attention during the defense opening.unlike the prosecutions opening when he’s writing the entire time. What an obvious ploy. Pretty tacky, and something I’d definitely notice as a juror.
9:20 EXACTLY!!! JUST A MOVIE. HE DID NOT DO THIS. Think about it. Why? What would He Have To Gain??? Nothing. Nothing at All!
Careless.
The people that are so hateful about this must be p off because he use to do a comedy skit about Trump
No, we know hes mean and careless.
His crazy really came out this time he needs to be held accountable
Maybe he should’ve been nicer to Donald Trump Trump 2024🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I am pro defense all day but this opening statement awful I feel he didn’t believe the stuff he was saying i almost laughed bc it’s sucked again I am pro defense but he got do better i like both prosecutors in this case both seem very confident and don’t say that often
Guilty
Why was he pointing the gun at people and pulling the trigger at that point in time anyways, it’s kinda on him too. Helena would be alive if it weren’t for Alec. It’s his movie, he hired everyone too
