Bought an 08 with 111k miles on it in 2016.
My alternator caught on fire- replaced
My ac clutch went out. Replaced compressor.
Sky rider roof broke. Sealed shut and calked closed
    Rear window hinge rusted out.
Front differential, rear main seal, radiator, and transfer case all leak.
Rear doors rusting out on wheels wells.
Rear hatch rusted in both bottom corners.
    Radio head unit went out.
Won't go in gear when it's super cold until it warms up.
    Muffler shield fell off.
    Resonator rusted out- replaced
Changed the oil every 3k miles. Sent sample off to oil labs and they said the motor is in great shape. Will drive it until it dies
Currently has 173k miles. Chicago winters are rough on the undercarriages of cars w all that salt

PCV valve housing cracks leaving the PCV valve itself loose in its opening.

Had a 2004 Liberty Limited, put almost 200k miles on it, very little issues other than standard issues and window regulators. Also bought a 2012 Limited, that has been relatively OK, replaced water pump twice, compass will not calibrate, seat heaters stopped turning on, heater core will need replaced. Just took my passenger side front seat out today to start troubleshooting the seat heaters. My brother is going to replace the heater core and also some other part which is best to do while you're doing the heater core. My '04 was on its last leg and I traded it in for ANOTHER 2012 Liberty... but that was PLAGUED with problems... specifically the TIPM and the blend door was stuck in defrost. THere were other issues. I replaced the TIPM but sold the vehicle after that. Never even thought of buying another Liberty since then and will NEVER buy another Chrysler product. Also, I have rust bubbles at my back tailgate where the guy in the factory (toledo) used to brag about not crimping them all the way because he always got too tired. >:o

I personally have 175,000km on mine and with the exception of the coolant pump going and the cheap plastic switch for heat and coolant doors failing, it’s been a great vehicle. I would get another! 2012 Jeep Liberty Sport. She may be a gas jog but very very reliable!

I bought a 2011 liberty four months ago went outside last week and the motor was making a knocking noise to it to the mechanic said rocker arm went through the valve cover and that i need to replace the engine.

      @indianaprepper2832 Před 10 měsíci +1

Might not have to replace it. Might just have to put the rocker arm back on and patch the hole. I had a rocker arm fall off of 2 of mine and wouldn’t run. Put them back on and runs great

In short Jeep Cars are poorly made and prone to multiple glitches and painfully costly to run.
