vivia francis this is my first time hearing the wood winds even though I've listened to this song so many time lol. I just like to listen to the drum line and listen for bass runs😂 But they are really good! I can hear their trills too.
The incredible transparency and the good intonation through all registers even up to flutes and pics in their high register us the secret why FAMU nails this piece like no one else !
I ALWAYS wanted to march with them..... If you’re a true musician, hearing them play will stop you dead in your tracks and make you appreciate music 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I remember when we first played this at the Battle of the Bands at The Florida Classic, I forget the year but, I remember seeing the entire crowd turning their head after we played the first three notes; talk about being even more amped............HUBBA "HUNDRED" and "THUNDER"....IIIIIIIGGGGGTTOOOOXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GoD DAM!!!!!!!!! That was massive. I felt like i was back in the mother land. Best arrangement of this that i have ever heard period. Even better than the comming to america movie and and drumline movie.
No better band then FAMU. Do you here how clean and precise the notes where played, drum line on point the haters can fall back! No band can come close to even trying to touch FAMU! Go Rattlers!
This is sooo good. Played with a very precise timing to the point. Very good intonation (not just in the „front registers“….even up to the flutes and the pics who have to play in their high register as a group….very difficult). Powerful through all registers and so transparent you can exactly hear even the all woodwind registers. And that’s why they mail it like no others! Great job !!!!
most people think they are slack because of their old fashion style....only true musicians would understand how good they actually are....I still think FAMU is a fantastic band
I happen to like FAMU's arrangement over all the others, not only because it is more original to the song but FAMU plays it better. While most bands blast, FAMU and BCU and few others focus on sound and musicality therefore they sound better
I haven't heard a band yet that can play like FAMU. The sound is so rich, full, and distinctive. Those mo fus can play and march. I'm soooooooo glad their back!
Number 1 im a wildcat..c/o.2012..2. Im a trombone player so Brass come thru!! BUT 3...GOT DAMN THEM PICCOLOS!!!!!⚰ Dont nobody want no smoke with yall ok!! Better let em know!!
Lol imagine going to hand to hand war against another tribe and you cant see them but all you hear is this over the mountain. If I was a boxer, this would be my intro.
While play football for Dillard high our badass band played this one time and it had us ready for Blanche Ely at lockhart stadium that Saturday afternoon in 2007..the band plays a major role in a victory

@@Athoroughgamer Sounds like Sandro is a racist, and racists don't understand.
For everyone that doesn't play the drums the song starts at 1:19 lol..........damn intro like Earth Wind and Fire...long as hell
Also does anyone know what key this is in?

Ursula Johns 😂😂😂
Ursula Johns the whole purpose is to build up to the band smh lol plus this is an actual cadence
You Know Why Im Here lol that's all fine and well and it was a good cadence too but, "you know why I'm here", I only came her for the song lol
If you've never gone to a college football game between two HBCUs, you don't know what you've missed.

Lol your welcome!
The incredible transparency and the good intonation through all registers even up to flutes and pics in their high register us the secret why FAMU nails this piece like no one else !

No better band then FAMU. Do you here how clean and precise the notes where played, drum line on point the haters can fall back! No band can come close to even trying to touch FAMU! Go Rattlers!
8 years later the musicianship is still unparalleled

most people think they are slack because of their old fashion style....only true musicians would understand how good they actually are....I still think FAMU is a fantastic band
