I had speed ups but didn't bother going for it. Too much time commitment, attention to pay to new solo/hell event, stress over monster hunting and bad luck streak of solo/hell events... investing all that effort over 10 days. I want to treat this as a game, not a full time job

It's doable but needs to do a ton of solos and hells daily, but I probably gonna fail it anyway so 😂
Also I notice the recent skins are purple themed or have a bit of purple in it, which makes them pretty looking.

I barely got the skin😂😂😂 but I did able to boost from 15m-20m troops and got closer to finish counter and famslot4 research
The might gain is the problem pumping out hells
When the first event skins came out you were able to get them f2p for a reasonable amount of hells and hunting but ever since the last few event skins they got so expensive, they basically became impossible to do f2p.
I mean, they theoretically still are obtainable f2p but not really for actual f2p players because you need to do an absolute shit ton of hell events...
i get it in 2ct. free but spend most speed and a lot resourcess
In my opinion, in this skin event, igg purposely raised the amount of coins need to unlock the skin to make it extremely difficult for free to play to unlock it at all. This is why they released a $2 pack this go around including 160 coins. Because they didn’t expect F2P to be able to unlock it, all while maintaining the appearance that they are doing the event for free to play players. Another igg scam. You have to be extremely active to get this skin as a 100% F2P player.

Yes i done it F2P, And tbh only stage 2 of hell events, not a huge speed ups needed, and actually from hunting everyday :)
