A lot of little things add up here; on the fly clasp, drilled lugs, beads of rice bracelet, color watched date wheel, 6 o'clock date wheel, good finishing, good NH34 movement, boxed sapphire crystal, AR coating, good lum, bi-directional 24 click bezel with good action ... like I said a lot of little things add up.
I agree, a lot to like and I can't see anything I don't like. Seriously tempting!
Lots of people said SanMartin should make their own designs.
Now that they have, the same people don’t like the fact they have. SanMartin is on the way up, that’s for sure.
Same as people complaining why San Martin didn't use the exact hands brand X used. Then at the same breath whine SM didn't make original designs. Smh.
As a owner the quality is the reason they will continue to do well

Great watch (and review😅), especially for the price. You get so much more than a Seiko GMT. And now also a rather original design. Although, it does reminds me of a Yema.
If they have made the seconds and GMT hand a bright color. I.E. yellow or green, it's really a killer design.

I was lucky enough to buy the limited edition avocado in November. Very nice colours. :)
They should be very worried. I’ve yet to be impressed by a luxury diver’s fit and finish after buying a San Martin. The gains in quality are marginal at best for the often seen $3000+ jump. Heck, the bezel action and legibility of the Seamaster 300m for example are significantly inferior in comparison to San Martin watches with their amazing bezel action and lacquer dials.
waiting for mine to arrive. That clasp doesn't seem to be well snug with the bracelet... I hope I'm wrong

It has a lot of things going for it and I think San Martin can if they drop Ali Express could become a more upmarket microbrand. Should the bigger companies be worried. Except for Seiko and Citizen, maybe. When companies like San Martin does well, Seiko and Citizen with their mass produced reliable movements powering these watches are filling their own bank accounts very nicely. Plus the billions of dollars the companies are worth and the millions they can spend on marketing, microbrands are a drop in the ocean. However if the San Martin, Steeldive, Addies, Seestern, Heimdallr brands (They could well be the same co under one umbrella, a mini Chinese Swatch group), other better known microbrands should definitely be looking over their shoulders as that is the business these brands are targeting. Just my opinion. Excellent video! Very interesting and just to say, that watch is fantastic! I may well buy one in the next big sale! Meant to say I have the orange dial Seiko GMT, even swapped the hardlex for sapphire and love it. But I'd still buy this one too.

It would be $1200,a limited edition, and the bezel would be misaligned but it would have the better movement in terms of its power reserve

I've gone from a 6 to 6.25 inch wrist from exercise & abit of weight gain. The dimensions of this watch will be at the limit for you imho...the 47 lug to lug will be your biggest enemy but I think you'll just be able to pull it off.
This actually looks like a fresh design rather than a copy
I have the greenish blue and orange version, and my only complaint is that I have a hard time seeing the hands in low light, but it is a complaint that a pair of readers eliminates and is not a serious issue.. I think I might have to get the black one,it is too good to pass up and I think in the near future war is going to make all of these Chinese watches unavailable in the west
I buy mainly microbrands and no Chinese watches, except for San Martin. They have proven themselves worthy.

I have one San Martin, their original design dress watch and it is superb. This looks great, I can't see anything I don't like, case design and finish, bracelet, clasp, dial, bezel etc all look fantastic. I am really tempted, but the only thing putting me off is the fact I have no need for the GMT function.
That clasp fell from the sky and attached itself to this watch and doesn't want to let go.
The clasp is overly thick and has no business on that thin bracelet. The edges look like open shark's mouth, no hugging the bracelet.
This watch needs quick release butterfly clasp like so many other similar watches.
The bezel is difficult to turn, but it doesn't bother me, I like what was gained (thinner watch).
Otherwise, a genious watch.
I love this watch i just dont like the red the non gmt has a red hand also 😢

All San Martins look odd without date windows, especially homages. Raise the price 25 bucks and add a date window. Like if you agree.

Most people who buy San Martin are into older watches (they are a homage brand that do mostly older watches), and also most humans on earth are kind of small compared to us westerners
It's not original design it's The same shape and very close to Rado Captain Cook The only difference The GMT bezel and in dial 😂😅🤦🏽
