Darkhorse candidate for Fat Bear Week Champion. 32 Chunk is a large brown bear who is high up on the Katmai bear hierarchy. Watch him hang out in the office, catch salmon, and stand his ground against the massive Bear 747.

I have a nice group of favorites, but Chunk is top of the list! He was the first bear I saw when I started watching last year. I immediately fell in love!🥰🐻🥰

Chunk has a very different body weight and that strange facial expression.Definitely his facial expression is like a philosopher

Is Chunk 503's dad? 402 mated with Chunk in 2012.. There's a touching clip on CZcams of Chunk climbing down the falls to play with 503.

Could be, but I think it is 856. He is huge with long legs like 856. 856 has chased 402 for years to mate. It would be neat to find out through DNA.
