Important tip about Plasti-dip. The contents will dry up if you dont find a way to seal that lid (like my can, it dried up after couple months)....so I think it's good idea to use tape to seal the lid edges.

Thanks, It did get thicker after I stirred it up and used it. I water-proofed my esc on a dynam Catalina - I had some bad "landings" and it got totally wet, but no problems. Thanks for the video and the reply.

Good call on the RX medic. I was looking at my Rx thinking "how am I gonna water proof this?" with this video on in the background... then the RX came up shortly after thinking that.. LOL.

Yes, it is very runny when it's brand new. It will get thicker if you leave it open but you don't want that. If you leave it open too much, it will get too thick to dip with and whatever you have left in the can will be trash.

  • @Qs_customs_and_performance

plasti dip is also found in the us just go around to harware stores and places like harbor freight to try and find it

Medic have you tried using heat shrink tubing over the posts on the FXR vs electrical tape? I am not sure if that would work better than tape but you would not have to deal with tape residue, and you might be able to expose more of the posts to help with heat dissopation.

  • @Decadangell

    Nice job dude!!
But, what about the engine, the back of the engine don't like water at all, it makes short cuts and stops the engine. It also short cut the esc breaking it definitly.
Can I use Plastidip on the back of the engine?
Note: I use "liquid neoprene", this is also elastic, and don't peel of after some months like Plastidip do.
You can find it in your local boat store. They use it for waterproofing boat electronics for year. Normaly it is used to fix Zodiac boats.
    :-)
    Have fun!

You can run a splitter to the battery if you like.. Best option is 2 batts - but if you have a high discharge lipo - you can use one. It is a shorter run time though :~) Hope that helps you my friend!
