Renounciation can only work if taken until the end of one's life. Otherwise the mind finds gratification and delights in the prospect of the possibility of future pleasures. Which, like the addiction and greed for any sense pleasures ,is just an attempt to bypass our fear of death. Or in other words a coping mechanism for ignoring impermanence which at the end just fuels our weakness and false belief that we somehow have control over our feelings.
Desperately trying everything to avoid that crossing the Buddha talked about. Either go mad or renounce everything and go in search of a solution out of that mess.

Wonderful and "easily " to see what Bhante is talking about here. Just be celibate and sence restraint for a few months, and it would become almost impossible not to see how much peace you'll gain from such practice. I guess, given that peace is what you are after. I am happy to say I know what Bhante means here ,my mind was never this calm. thank you for your teaching, it is life changing 🙏.

Living based on sensual pleasures & craving needs effort much more than to leave it up, may all be free from craving ☘️

I have issues listening to Dhamma spoken too fast, I don't understand why many teachers speak so fast that making videos to help defeats the purpose? There's no mindfulness and a marked level of stress arises in the body due to straining to listen and comprehend correctly. For example is my practice aligned correctly - can't tell if words spoken so fast, no time to reflect. It's not a competition Bhante!

You can just change the speed of the video

It does come pretty fast. The mindfulness is in us as the audience though. We can assume nothing of Bhante's state in that regard, nor should we try and manage how he delivers his message. 🙏
Along with slowing down the playback speed, I sometimes pause the video once in a while to consider what has been said, and think about how I have or how I might apply it in my life. Good luck brother with your Dhamma practice
