This was extremely helpful, intrusive features are written about very briefly and not very clearly in both of my A level textbooks so thank you this was well explained and I think the case studies will be very useful too.

I find the Universe and everything in it absolutely amazing. The fact that we live on a rock that's orbiting through space at a ridiculous speed just blows my mind, most people never stop to think about how wonderful and complex everything is, I find myself thinking about it constantly due to the fact that we really don't know for sure how it all started and how it all came to be. Perhaps there is no beginning or end, we only perceive a beginning and end because we are human beings, we base everything in respect to time. Perhaps when dealing with the Universe time isn't as influential, we perceive time based on our understanding of science , physics and astronomy but out in the vastness of the Universe science, physics and astronomy maybe perceived differently. Remember we are far from understanding everything but as time moves forward we learn more and more, it never ceases to amaze me and I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to witness the experience of life.

The original poster might not be religious. Especially considering he mentioned that he considers the universe may not have a beginning or end (e.g. No creation or rapture).

Country rock refers to the original rock into which the magma intrudes. It may or may not be sedimentary
