This was extremely helpful, intrusive features are written about very briefly and not very clearly in both of my A level textbooks so thank you this was well explained and I think the case studies will be very useful too.
I find the Universe and everything in it absolutely amazing. The fact that we live on a rock that's orbiting through space at a ridiculous speed just blows my mind, most people never stop to think about how wonderful and complex everything is, I find myself thinking about it constantly due to the fact that we really don't know for sure how it all started and how it all came to be. Perhaps there is no beginning or end, we only perceive a beginning and end because we are human beings, we base everything in respect to time. Perhaps when dealing with the Universe time isn't as influential, we perceive time based on our understanding of science , physics and astronomy but out in the vastness of the Universe science, physics and astronomy maybe perceived differently. Remember we are far from understanding everything but as time moves forward we learn more and more, it never ceases to amaze me and I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to witness the experience of life.
The original poster might not be religious. Especially considering he mentioned that he considers the universe may not have a beginning or end (e.g. No creation or rapture).
very beautifully explained mam I had been in a confusion from past 1 months everything just got cleared.. Nice use of examples look forward for more videos.. Loads of love mam ❤
Thanks, from a GLG 101 student! I'm doing a presentation on Eyjafjallajökull. After this video, I think the pronunciation of Eyjafjallajökull will be harder than giving the geological reasons for it's eruption.
I love this! Subscribing for sure! If you find basalt or pumice on a river beach that has no connection to the ocean, do you think that is an indicator of a pipe near by?
at 03:30, when you're talking about Xenoliths, why is the outer layer a chilled zone rather than baked? Or are baked zones not on your syllabus? I love your videos, they're really great for revising from, thank you! (:
Thank you for simplifying and not putting me to sleep. Awesome prosody!

All these landforms, all Liths they are cooled and then called by their respective names or do they remain fluid?
all of these intrusive landforms happen in the earts crust above asthenosphere or it happens deep in mantle or near the core ?
isnt the batholith the same as a pluton?
In the center of the earth there is like a type of fire or something
wooow
I need all your lectures on geology. where can I find ??
Do all kimberlite and lamproite rocks contain Zenolith?
AT 5.24 SHE DOES NOT EXPLAIN HOW THE ENTIRE LAYERS OF CRUST IS TILTED...
Haha! Kaboom!
IT JUST TILTED AND SHE TILTS THE PICTURE AT 45 DEG. ANGLE AND CHANGES SUBJECT
Country rock?? why don't you just stay with sedimentry and keep it that way to avoid confusion, call it what it is.
Country rock refers to the original rock into which the magma intrudes. It may or may not be sedimentary
I'm very weak in geology
So I want to ask you some question...plz...give me ur email
