Nice review again! I got the TSK as well and I agree with your comments. It is a good tech kit that as need be could be use as a small bag to go out. I do not recommend this for people who just want a small sling for going out. There are more practical bags to access your gear on the go.
What an excellent review, my dude. I was on the fence with purchasing this as a sling, and now I know I think it'd be best as a tech kit. Loved how thorough and legit quality this review/vido was. Absolutely smashed that sub and bell button. Can't wait to see more!
Hi David, I beg to differ in regards to left-handed users (I am a southpaw myself). I use this to keep my pockets empty. I have been using this TKS for over 4 months now and I love it. I do agree that the front pouch would bulge out of the main compartment is full to the gills. Personally, I just use the front pouch for my keys (with orbit key holder), charge my phone (Google Pixel 5), and my wallet (Kydex Wallet). Great review!
Yeah I feel you. It’s a great bag overall and I was able to work around the left handed issues to make it work for sure. Love that it’s working for you though! And thanks!
Oh and just one constructive feedback: the music is quite loud in the end and at the beginning. I would recommend to level it down by about 8 dB so it won't over volume your voice.
strap is way too thin. I have no idea why designers of so many bags, targeting men, don't realise that a broad strap is the most obvious and distinct masculin aesthetic. Of course, broad can be much less chic or subtle...but there's a utility bag hanging on it. Other than the AER city, I can't find any broad strapped small bag.
I totally feel you. The strap is a bit thin on The Sling Mini. I believe that Black Ember is going for a unisex design on almost all of their bags though. You should take a look at the Boundary Supply Rennan or the Wandrd D1. Both have burlier straps and may be what you're looking for.
You are doing great with this content. You’ve earned a sub! Keep it up!!! Also it’s for $106 on the site. Where can you get it for the $89? Do you have a referral link?
Can we start a new universal youtube bag culture practice of giving all bags that claim “waterproof “ (or similar claims ) a full few minutes under a shower head = because thats actual waterproof -i mean we are trying to hold our $1000 phones /cameras etc. in these things after all ;) -sooo glad that micro bags are finally popular enough that all these newer companies are making awesome entries with great design and textiles - funny enough for tech slings i found after i shopped and shopped and bought 3 to try side by side that one of the best pound for pound is the actually REI tech sling -it looks basic but is really well thought out -- buuut i love to hike in the rain whenever i can so i came here for the WATERPROOFING :) - this bag looks great but i dont really understand the zipper orientation ? might have to give it a try on looks alone ?? -DONT FORGET TO IMPLEMENT THE SHOWER/faucet test so we can see what stuff REALLY IS WATER PROOF :)
So when black ember says weatherproof they really mean it. The materials and build are second to none. That being said, this bag in particular wasn’t my favorite to use as a sling bag. The pocketing is odd and it doesn’t sit super comfortably on the back or chest. I’ll try to get the shower test in the next one 😂
I think you’re using the sling incorrectly the d ring is suppose to loosen the bag and to tighten the bag you need to pull the top strap from where it is doubled to tighten it
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The TKS is a bit pricey for sure but is a rock solid build (and basically waterproof). my biggest gripe with it is that you have to flex your style to it, not the other way around. For something small I'd recommend the Aer City Sling, Wandrd D1 Fanny, or the Boundary Supply Rennen Sling. All are great to use and decently priced.
Hey mate! It's me again. You know me, I got some gear, and I don't say this often: I regret backing this. It doesn't work for me, be it a tech kit or a sling. I want to like it, but I just can't.
Hey André! Totally. I also backed the kickstarter and at first I didn't find myself using it much. It took a lot of getting used to but honestly I've come to really like it as a tech bag
@@DaveSam13 I'll take your word for it and give it another try. I just wish SO MUCH that the strap was removable instead of just stowable (I think I just made this up).
My own experience : I use it ton2 weeks but I decided to change to something a bit less « over ingeenered » finally not practical for me . In sling mode it’s not easy to access the front compartiment without the risk to let down what is inside. Inside there is place lnly for flat items. You are rapidly stuck if you want to put a standard pair of sunglasses , an hydro gel etc… I think that it’s due to the design of the sling : a strong/hard separator between the 2 inside compartiments does not allow a smooth volume split. Hope I am clear 🤪. Will try bellboy mini sling next . Ps : I love black ember products and I I am found of my black ember forge max 😍😍😍
Great points! I totally agree that it can be cumbersome as a sling; I did love it as a tech kit however. And you’re right again, black ember makes absolutely kick ass products, that I keep being compelled to purchase

Thank you!! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. The TKS is a fantastic tech kit if you’re in the market. The materials are just so premium

Thank you Bo!! I appreciate the feedback and the compliment. I hope you enjoy the TKS too.
I just wanted to say to keep doing the great work man! By the end of the year you'll have more than 1k subs!

Great review. Covered everything very well. Thank you.
Thank you!
Fantastic review man!
Thank you!
Nice review! Your voice is so warm 😄 can you do a review for dayfarer active sling?
Thank you! I don't have one but I'll definitely look into it. May be a couple of months though...

I just found you. I subscribed and liked. I’m in the market for a small EDC sling. Great job! This one may be a bit too pricey.

@@DaveSam13 Thank you for the reply!
Hey! Will this be able to fit an iPad Mini 6 in the accordion pouch back pocket where you had the battery bank?
I would say very unlikely. Sorry
@@DaveSam13 ok cool, thanks!
