Stanton was a football player in highschool
Luke Voit has been a big dude for a while now. Played against him in college when he was a fresh/soph. His swing honestly did NOT impress me but IF he touched it, bye bye. Guys like him were fun to watch in batting practice because their swings were not mechanically sound yet they'd still put on shows. Some of the BEST players looked so mechanically unsound.
Chris Sale when he pitched at Florida Gulf Coast is another example. Listed at 6'6" 160 (NOT jacked whatsoever) in the program. Crazy arm angles yet he threw 97+ with run and had a wipeout slider.
These type of guys are just different humans and it was a pleasure to witness their skills and compete against them. One of the hardest base hits I ever had was against Chris Sale. I'll take that to the grave as one of my more memorable moments in life for sure.

I remember Glenn Braggs from the 1990 Cincinnati Reds. That guy was jacked. I remember he had a bat break over his shoulder one time on a swing n miss. Lol. Couldn't believe it. It was in game 4 of the 1990 World Series. Reds vs Oak. Dave Stewart was pitching for Oakland. Today Braggs is like 58 years old n build like a 25 year old.
