But when I watch these videos I do miss RC Sproul roasting my fellow Baptist, Steve Lawson🤣🤣🤣
Wake up, get up, get a cup of coffee, prayer & Scripture readings, then 17 minutes of Reformed Funny Moments in a few. My day has begun. 🏋
The way you said "prayer and scripture readings" was nonchalant and with incorrect grammar, and ohhh, your snarkiness is despicable m

Baptists and Presbyterians trying to change each other’s minds: “were it so easy”
It was always so great to watch these men maintain their stances on what they believe, and walk off the stage as friends. The main things are never in doubt and never change. Being a "Credo or a Pedo" about Baptism won't send you to Hell, so it can be debated and disagreed upon, but, it's not a reason to divide, and these men do it with great finesse and humor.
You already know how much I love your work!❤️
I mean they both mess the all the rest up what’s a disagreement on this gonna do
RC is our shipmaster indeed.
Then you're on the wrong shuo because he's demonic, as are Lawson, MacArthur, Piper, etc..
As a Presbyterian myself, I agree to everything Presbyterians said in this video. 😜... Great content as always, you really help premillennials to not struggle that much in this world by making them laugh a little.
Heyo! We got baptism in the house! Enjoy Part 1 of the hilarious banter between brothers in Christ about Baptism! Along with Godfrey exerting his Dutch privilege! Leave a like and a comment if you want Part 2! All sources can be found in the description!
Okay I love them all but can I just say that Chris Larson does an outstanding job with his deadpan responses and I truly feel that Derek Thomas is one of the most undervalued preachers. Listen to his talks on Ligonier on Job and recently on Galatians and you'll learn so much from him! I just wish both these gentlemen had enough of these moments for their own video, but heck RFM are going to live on forever so maybe you can cull together things that both say in the next few years! :) Thank you again for your OUTSTANDING work, Joshua!

So appreciative of these video. Our brothers in Christ know how to make me laugh and smile. 🥰🤗
As a loyal and appreciative partaker of yours from Canada, who has not YET made it to a Ligonier Conference, I've often wondered what the facility is they use? I love these videos
Sometimes I feel like the only young believer in the world. There are no young people that attend church in my area
Feel like that to, i'm 22 and it's very rare you meet anyone that age in the Church

Love Lawson and Godfrey together❤️. When they go to dinner after this do they go dutch?
Sorry, couldn’t resist. Great job brother. 👍
This was awesome! We can and will disagree on some minor points, but the fact that we're one in Christ should make all the difference.

"To you and to your children".
Still doesn't say baptize babies
“To you and to your children” is a quote from the old testament from God to Abraham… where God told Abraham to give the covenantal sign to his 8 day old infant (and all infant males in the congregation of Israel, either Jew or sojourner).
I remember when my wife and I had our first child. Our friend who is a Lutheran and bought our daughter a baptismal gown. I said we dnt baptize babies LOL.

Baptism is an outward expression of what God does to us on the inside when He spiritually regenerates us. Pretty sure babies aren't even aware of what any of that is. Plus, people who are saved should be the only ones getting baptized.
Disagree. Baptism is the sign of the covenant that God promises to save those who have faith in him. The sign points to the promise, not to a personal profession.
Edit: then your churches are doing a really bad job at discerning those who are saved vs apostate.
@@isaacmaue-tg7kl baptismal regeneration isn't a thing nor does getting a baptism as a baby promise you'll be born again later in life. In fact, baby baptisms can often lead to false conversions. Roman catholics (Marian papists) seem to not be the only ones who are pro-baby baptism and think that can save a person.
The Bible speaks nothing of this regeneration that Calvinists have come up with.
We either accept Christ, or we don't. We accept Him via faith in Christ and Him crucified.
Baptism doesn't save anyone but is an outward expression of accepting Christ.

The Bible says in Matt. 28 to make disciples first. To my mind that means learning/understanding what it means to be a learner/ follower of Jesus; then baptize. How can one baptize one who is unsaved???
In Luke, John leaped for joy in the womb when he met Jesus. And in the Old Covenant, children were entered into God's covenant through circumcision. So if you believe that baptism is an act of God, one that saves by joining you to the body of Christ, with Christ as head, you'd accept that He can create faith in children.

The only thing unfortunately about reformed Baptists is that they reformed the gospel. The Bible calls it another gospel.

Now I’m not sure what my view on the Millennium is, but I think John Gill answered that objection well. Revelation 20:5 says the rest of the dead come to life at the end of the 1000 years. When Satan is loosed at the end of those 1000 years, the unsaved dead are raised and stirred up.

@@steelmilkjug lol you remind me of my sister. Her beliefs are exactly that. I personally am more of a reformed Baptist.
“How are you Baptists not postmil?”
Well, I’m Baptist and postmil…
Baptism is essentially linked to repentance (metaneo, interior change, change of mentality): "John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins" (Mark 1.4). Baptism marks a new life from born again christians: "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life" (Romans 6.4). Jesus said: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16.16). So, he was talking about believing and receiving water as a condition for salvation? NO! The baptism is a reference to repentance. Those who believe and repent (baptism) are the ones who will be saved. Repentance was the first thing Jesus thaught. Repentance was John Baptist's message. Repentance was the first thing Peter preached in Pentecost. So, John Baptist denied baptism for those who didn't have fruits of REPENTANCE: "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance" (Matthew 3.7,8). So can we baptize those who dont have yet fruits of repentance? NO! Thats why you dont baptize babies. Baptizing babies was something created by the catholic church because they think the water, as a sacrament, has the power to save. But babies wont go to hell, and we know that simply because they didnt reject Jesus. We protestants dont believe that unbaptized babies will go to hell. So I ask you to abandon catholic traditions and practice sola scriptura.
You can only be baptized when your heart changed towards God and his hands he sends in his name .
That is the true baptism of your choice .
When baptised, prayers should be layed upon you to receive a blessing , maybe a gift , ore given a sign .
But to baptise a child as a pre - baptism to cover such child from evil , even till he is old enough to make his own shoice , that their is no harm in .
No harm in giving a baby a bath unless you convince him he’s eternally saved from his inner sin and iniquity of soul because you put him under a faucet

@@steelmilkjug thank you , and may God bless you and all around you .
Here is what scripture say on the flaming sword that view people teach .
Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Isaiah 6:1-2 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
1. The only way to the tree of life is through the Cherubims with the flaming sword in the midst of them.
2. The LORD , and three angels form a Seraphim with six wings .
Meaning the LORD and the angel he did fly upon is the flaming sword .
Who is this Angel of the LORD with his name upon him ?
Exodus 23:20-22 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
1. My name is in him .
2. Obey his voice, and do all that I speak.
Meaning , this Angel whom God sends in his name , is the image after the likeness of the in visible God .
The very same pillar of fire in the evening , aswell as the pillar of Cloud in the morning .
The very same fiery tounguse of angels that confused their language and speech at the tower of Babel.
The very same spirit that was upon Moses and the 72 elders as they prophesied.
The very same fiery tongues of angels at the day of Pentecost with Peter and the apostles .
Amen !!!!

I had catholic and episcopaliam parents, so they raised us non-religious. We joined a non-denonmentalist fundamentalist church around age 9. They made me go through a catechism class before I could be baptized so I understood what I was joining and was youngest person to ever do so. Sprinkling babies is a catholic and pagan belief for salvationm rather than believing in christ and personal relationship. Baptism does not get you into heaven, nor a prayer. Its a personal relationship with christ. Throwing some water someone is pagan, not christian. Otherwise I could just randomly throw water at people, what would be the difference?
What do you mean "personal relationship Christ"

@@johntrevett2944 you know you're saved because what you do for God or what he did for you?
@Kaio Ken We're saved by grace through faith in the person and work of Christ. True faith results in works. James 2
@@johntrevett2944 true faith means you trust Christ as your savior, you say you believe it's by grace through faith but you don't actually believe that.
@Kaio Ken Sure I do. People ACT on what they believe. It appears you've fallen victim of "free grace" theology. I used to believe that but as I read more of God's word and grew in my walk with Christ I've come to realize there is no way one can stay the same, even after decades of being saved. Tread carefully in who you condemn because you will be accountable for every word you use against the brethren.
When I read the new Testament, I see no lasting denominations between the Churches. Last I read in Jesus Christ's Revelation, all the 7-fold church is One in Christ Jesus . So I am with the kinds of Christians that are written about in the New Testament Scriptures. Whatever you call those kinds of Christians, that's the kind of Christian I am. I'm a 7-fold Church of Jesus Christ Christian. I'm a Member of the Body of Christ kinda Christian. Is there a 7-fold Candelstick denominiation? If so, I'm a member of that Church. LOL.
How many Denominiations of US Currency are there? The reason Bank Notes are different denominations is because they have different values signified by the different faces on them. So if we're the Image of Christ Jesus, we're all ONE Denomination. All the only other Denominations besides Christian are the Denominiations made in another man's image besides Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ only has ONE Denomination. His Own. Grace and Peace in Jesus Christ's Name.
Why is this division funny to any true believer. The pagans mock such things, yet we dare join their folly!?
First
Its not as funny as they think it is. It’s just more weird more than anything else.
It's cute watching all these false teachers in one place.
There is nothing humorous in the Credo versus Pedo baptism issue. Baby baptizers/Presbyterians attempt to create a third state of man, going-to-be-saved based on their temporal actions. Blaspheme.
The PCA Book of Church Order makes baby baptism a precursor act to salvation and a work of man ... another Gospel. Heresy and anathema.
There is no peace, no reconciling a work man unto salvation versus a work of YHWH unto salvation.
Infant baptism is Calvin's curse, a deadly tether to the Roman scourge that 'Reformers' allege to have left.
Chapter 57 : The Admission of Persons to Sealing Ordinances
57-1
57-2
57-3
57-4
57-5
57-6
Paragraph 1 : Of Covenant Children
57-1. Believers’ children within the Visible Church, and especially those dedicated to God in Baptism, are non-communing members under the care of the Church. They are to be taught to love God, and to obey and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. When they are able to understand the Gospel, they should be earnestly reminded that they are members of the Church by birthright, and that it is their duty and privilege personally to accept Christ, to confess Him before men, and to seek admission to the Lord’s Supper.
I agree. I wish I could find it funnier, but on a deep dive of the subject could find zero examples outside using a form of covenant theology to support IB. Even using covenant theology the subject is loose. They explain it in terms of a replacement for circumcision. This of course makes zero sense if you read Paul's many rebuking of those who taught continued need for circumcision. The only other reasonable (though super loose) explanation is the belief if one is ordained as elect before the foundation of the world, then they are technically a born believer, but again it is SUPER loose. While that statement is technically true, we aren't born with a big E on our chests to indicate who is who.
The more I studied it, the more I started to feel like it was a form of heresy........
The vast majority of reformers don't accept IB though. That's because every single baptism in the Bible (EVERY SINLGE ONE) follows belief having been received by God.
Though, just for information's sake, RC Sproul was ordained under PCA, but he left PCA seeing where it was going. Ligonier isn't a part of PCA. That said, he did maintain IB throughout his life.
Amen Brother!
@@codythomas8927 Thank you for the in depth reply. I was raised, baby baptized as a Episcopalian. Born again at 40 yo in 1994. Went through 8 years of Presbyterianism and learned a lot. Anglicanism infant baptism is heresy no less than the papists. And yet, virtually no one on the marquis preacher circuit will call out that truth. JI Packer, CS Lewis and many 'revered' writers were Anglican and they were HERETICS for holding to infant baptism salvation, read the 39 Articles. I am not reformed and darn sure not a Calvinist, but I hold to all six points of the Doctrines of Grace TULIPSovereignty of God. Virtually all 'reformed baptists' do major damage to themselves simply trying to be pals with the other reformed peoples. Nope. Gotta separate. Have to be inviting to rejoin fellowship but not so long as they do baby baptisms. The Presby/Reformed regulative hermeneutic for life and understanding the bible gets pitched out the window when it comes to baby baptism. Hypocrisy of the first order.
@@keithal1478
Why are you so against John Calvin? I mean I don't think of myself as a Calvinist because it's a make believe word. I'm nearly 600 pages into his book, "The Institutes of the Christian Religion" and were he alive today, he would Bible Smash anyone who called themselves a "Calvinist".
I've found that most folks who have either a great affinity or repulsion towards his doctrinal preaching haven't really studied his work (this includes pastors). I mean he's probably spent no less than 200 pages just absolutely demolishing every false Catholic doctrine imaginable. His writings on confession were hilarious.
"Without the whole of sin being confessed, by what instrument does a priest offer absolution? Surely, there is sin the moment a person exits confession, during confession, and likely sin on the way to confession." - John Calvin Honestly, his work on confession in general opened my eyes to some excuses I was still making. Any defense we offer for our sin is by definition not in agreement with God, therefore any defense we make for our sin, whatever our perceived reason, is ultimately void of true confession in the sight of Almighty God. This doctrinal understanding of confession, has helped me to admit to God that I actually wanted to sin prior to Grace. I enjoyed it. With those prayers has come enormous peace from the Father, and so much healing from my first brother, Jesus Christ!
As of yet, I've not actually read anything that made me squirm. I mean he is a name caller and a hot-head for sure, but usually that's because he's angry about things like Pelagianism or other heretical nonsense being taught in his time.
"We should consider that the brightness of the Divine countenance, which even an apostle declares to be inaccessible (1 Tim. 6:16), is a kind of labyrinth,-a labyrinth to us inextricable, if the Word do not serve us as a thread to guide our path; and that it is better to limp in the way, than run with the greatest swiftness out of it." - John Calvin
Anyway, Calvin wasn't definitely NOT a supporter of Infant Baptism either.
Wowzas! Horrible misrepresentation. Being in the new covenant from a presbyterian understanding doesn't necessarily lead to being elect. (Same structure as the old covenant, Jacob and esau both being members by birthright, but one not ending up with eternal life.)
Even in the quotation you put, it said it is the duty and privilege of covenant children to personally accept Christ. Failure to do so obviously leads to damnation.
I'd recommend doing some way more serious reading into this before you actually throw accusations of blasphemy.
Both baptists and Presbyterians confess you must be born again. Lol. Baptism doesn't make you elect, the Lord's supper doesn't make you elect, God's free grace given by the Holy Spirit makes you elect.
But, God uses means. And children of the new covenant by birthright have exposure to all of the means of grace throughout their entire childhood. And these are all means that the Lord uses to draw His people. Refusal and rejection of God will lead to being cut off of the new covenant, as Paul shows in Roman's 11.

I 100% believe in Sovereign Grace. (Ephesians 1 / Romans 8 / Romans 9 / John 6:37-44,65 / Genesis 45:8 / 1 Peter / 2 Peter / basically the whole Bible).... No... THE WHOLE BIBLE!!!
Technically, RC Sproul himself said in his debate with MacArthur, "If you're looking for scripture to point to infant baptism, I don't have it, but I can explain it through covenant theology." MacArthur responded by saying, "If you can't provide scripture, you must be wrong."
PS: I'm paraphrasing both gentlemen, but despite absolutely LOVING RC (even supporting Ligonier with handing out tracts leading to their site), I don't find Infant Baptism upheld by any fundamental demonstration in Scripture. FYI: I've listened to countless hours of RC Lectures. I was listening to RC the day Sovereign Grace was realized. I hit the floor in prayer. Trembled for the first time.
