I love Vyond. It's super expensive but it's so customizable you can make anything you like exactly to your specifications. It also saves a lot of time compared to making and animating your own characters/backgrounds using more hands on tools. I wouldn't suggest that unless you really want to have everything be in your own style
I did my best to find some real video explainer that use only Vyond to see a real result of the it, you know, kind of the final product, but I did not find one, did you stumble upon a whole video made by Vyond?

I think Videoscribe is better to use for explainer videos or those that are meant for educational purposes, while Vyond is more fitted for entertainment (just like watching cartoons).

Great video, but unfortunately non of these options have an important feature that I'm looking for: insert assets into the scene as an object instance. Do you know any Animation Software that allows me to do that? E.g. I insert a character, name it as an object and then I can reuse it in several scenes. If for some reason I need to replace this animation, the change will automatically reflect in all places it was created on. I appreciate the help!
"One-time fee" is just the start. You'll continue to pay more and more. In addition to using up a lot of storage space (it is not a lightweight or user-friendly program), the program will cause your computer to crash, costing you a lot of money in repairs.

Maybe you haven't mentioned this in your video but both apps are available for a one-time fee of $67 for a standard plan and like any other company if you'd like to have more graphics you need to upgrade your account. Doodly vs Videoscribe, the winner here should really be Doodly for all it's advantages over videoscribe. Scenes, characters, hand drawing styles in 2d and 3d! and much more. The total cost for Doodly is $231 including the Enterprise version and the rainbow access which allows you to use colored animation vs Videoscribe the total cost for a one-time is over 500 Euros! The same goes for Toonly, they have a one-time payment. Vyond is very good but it's so expensive and yes it offers value for what it's worth.

The essential plan in Vyond doesn't remove the logo , you have to buy premium which is $89/ m . kinda expensive though

Doodly has No characters and only sells them in pricey sets, which really sucks.
