The coolest thing about the iPod 7 is that you can link your phone number to your FaceTime through your Apple ID and make real phone calls from the iPod itself. So in essence, it’s basically my 2nd phone when I’m at home 😎👍🏽
iphone SE 2020 is also good ipod touch alternative for around the same price as an ipod touch 7th gen. just ignore the phone functions and dont put a sim card if you want to turn it into a full time ipod touch.
My first iPod was the nano 1st generation in 2005 and I loved its what got me into Apple

I just got a Hiby R6 MKIII. It's not slow or buggy. It runs Android 12 and has great battery life. Granted it's almost three times the price however it can play high res and all the money definitely goes into sound quality. I closed my eyes when I hit buy but it sounds so much better than my phone with a dac. Plus it has four headphone jacks! It looks gorgeous too even though it's a brick. Silver and black with gold headphone jacks and a volume knob on top. An SD card too! I remember when I felt wrong for buying an iPod touch 4th gen at full price because I thought it was too much. 🤣

Love to download video which I later cast onto flatscreen. This frees up my iPhone for browsing during video. I downloaded Peacock but my HDMI Lightning Y connector was not supported. Chromecast with Google TV requires Wi-Fi, so I unsubscribed from Peacock.
Since you’ve been using the device for sometime, please enlighten us if updating the OS is good or should I not update?
The last update is iOS 15.7, so far there have been no issues
Crazy to think that the 2019 iPod touch was dropped at the same time as the 2015 iPhone 6s on iOS 15. The iPhone 6s is better at many things than the iPod touch 7. When the iPod touch 7 came out, we already had the following devices:
- iPhone X/XS
- iPhone XS Max
- iPhone XR
- The first iPad Pro with the design used today on the current generation iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini, and even the 10th generation iPad
- Apple Pencil 2
- Apple Watch Series 4
All of these devices listed above are still supported on iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and even watchOS 9.

With an iPhone in Purse, iPod fits comfortably in Lady Pockets and Bras. Calls and iMessage will work on iPod.
Since the iPhone display is off in your purse, you get maximum battery life. Its a perfect work phone, since all my social media is on iPhone in purse, no one gives me crap for having an iPhone on my desk.. just music, iMessage and calls.
I’m the same exact way man. Very first introduction into the Apple world was an ipod. If I could have nothing else from Apple. I would prefer an ipod over an iPhone. I like the privacy and seclusion of only music and audiobooks. To me it’s a shame they’re deleting it. I’m kinda suspicious it’s because they have no incentive in making you a product they can’t monopolize on your privacy and spy on you with it. Maybe I’m just conspiratorial. I don’t know. Maybe it is just that they didn’t sell that they made them obsolete. But, even if that’s the case. They should still keep them around in my opinion. Or make them on special order or something like that

if we have an audio player with ONEUI that would come out and is built like a small Samsung flagship like the S10e with LG audio DACs, that software and hardware experiemcewould be much better than the iPod touch 10 times out of 10.

@@MultiColouredVagina Found it luckily on FB marketplace from someone who didnt need it. 128GB WITH AppleCare until the end of the year. So I took it in for a checkup and it had 100% battery and was perfect! Spent 150$ in Canadian dollars.
